Ultimate Frisbee Wednesday
The group limits us to 10 people signing up. If the spots are "filled" that does not mean anything, just show up and look for us out there.
Alright the group is looking good, we appear to have 6 to 8 consistent members who are coming! That is fantastic, I look forward to when we have 20 people consistently coming. At that point, I will buy some vests to help everyone identify their teammates as we play.
We will continue to have the start time be 6:30PM and play until 8:30PM.
That provides people more time to get home from work deal with personals things (eating dinner, letting their dog out, etc.)
I will continue to bring a small cooler with ice in case someone forgets to bring a water.
\*From the previous week\*
Hello, my name is Sylas Brock Jones and I want to invite YOU to come out to this event. Everyone 18+ is welcome here (yes, even if you're 40, 50, 60+ years old), You don’t need to be fast, athletic, or in any particular shape. Ultimate frisbee is great for everyone because even with walking you will be "open" and get thrown the frisbee during the game.
If you’re feeling nervous or unsure, that’s totally normal, and you’ll fit right in. Bring some water to drink and some sort of chair to sit during our 5-7 minute breaks :)
If you're interested please register (and join the group!), you're also free to text me @ 512-599-0032 if you have any questions or simply want to say hi and introduce yourself.
Night Owl Bar - North Austin Atheists
**Time:** 7PM - Whenever
**Location:** Night Owl Bar - Leander
203 N Brushy St, Leander, TX 78641
**NOTE:** Meetup only allows me to list 10 guests on the free plan. If the meetup is full, PLEASE STILL COME. Just post a comment to let me know you're coming.
If you're an Atheist, Agnostic, Skeptic, going through the process of deconstruction, or simply questioning your faith and want to hang out with some awesome people, come on out to our February meetup!
There is generally no major agenda, though this month I do have a discussion topic to get things started:
**Discussion Topic - Blind Faith vs Skepticism vs Cynicism**
Healthy skepticism helps to ensure that our beliefs match reality. Cynicism, however, can result in a distrust of things even in the face of evidence supporting the thing. With cynicism, conspiracy theories abound. With Blind Faith, anything can be believed even without evidence.
So how do you operate as a skeptic without falling into cynicism? How does skepticism impact your beliefs and outlook on life? Are there any areas of your life where you still exercise blind faith? How does trusting in the consensus of experts differ from blind faith in religious texts or authority figures?
Our regular meetup starts at 7PM and we usually just chat over drinks and food (though there is no pressure to order anything.)
Look forward to seeing all you regulars (and hopefully some new faces too!)

**💃🕺 The Dating Doc presents:**
**Dating Apps Suck Austin Singles Mixer (Ages: Mid 20s – Young 40s)**
Swipe, match, message, doldrums, and ghost - meh that sucks! Instead, here's your chance to laugh, mingle, and spark REAL connections. Our original icebreaker game “Mystery Cards” adds a twist of flirtation, intrigue, and fun while our staff actively works behind the scenes to match you into the right social circles.
✨ Our events are all about low to no pressure, social connections over dating, caring and trained staff, and bottomline meeting new folks through a fun icebreaker and curated environment.
**How It Works:**
1️⃣ Arrive at 7:00 p.m. for registration, intros, and a smooth start.
2️⃣ At 8:00 p.m., the Mystery Cards begin – find your match with clues & flirty messages 💌
3️⃣ Each match = a raffle ticket 🎟️ … the more you mingle, the better your chances!
4️⃣ Stick around for fun raffle prizes, including a Venmo cash giveaway 💸
**Why Should You Try It:**
Modern dating is increasingly becoming difficult due to our dependence on technology, changing behavior norms, and the evolution of defining relationships. The Dating Doc social events are structured in a way where you can meet people in a condensed and organized fashion that leads to a better connection than swiping apps. It promotes healthy communication, social fitness, and improves overall mental health.
Though many may see it initially as a huge social undertaking, virtually all in attendance have reported feeling rejuvenated and energized from participating. Have doubts or questions? Feel free to reach us at admin@thedatingdoc.com or text/call (210) 701-0745.
Music Bingo at Pixel Palace!
we've had some weird things happen with the location in the Meetup app. the right address is 2471 AW Grimes, very close to 45 in a small shopping center. it is NOT in downtown Round Rock
Hey there F$#&ing friends! Love music? Love winning? Then Music Bingo is your jam! 🎵 Win awesome prizes, enjoy great drinks, and vibe to the music! Let’s play! 🎸🍻 No bingo card required, you play on your phone. How it works: they play a short clip of a song, and then regardless of whether you know it or not, they'll give you the answer so you can mark it on your phone..if you happen to know it and can mark your board a little faster, yell BINGO! There's a theme for each round, it's good times and good music. 🎸🍻 If you're not into the bingo scene, there's a ton of games and a full bar. The food is also pretty good.

Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, Columbus, Ohio
From birth, human beings are learning. Before we are able to hold concrete memories, we are being shaped and impacted by everything about our lives and situations. From the point that we become capable of cognizant thought and memory, our lives could be summed up as a series of our responses to our circumstances, whether for good or for ill.
Dr. Joe Dispenza sees a deep need for human beings to live *on purpose*. Rather than just living life in reaction mode, he challenges people to live intentionally, to seek to change the negative that we have encountered and to pursue the positive through purposeful steps in a different and healthy direction. His study and work seek to demonstrate the changes that can be made from the inside out.
Join us as we take a look at new ways to grow at **6:30 pm,** **Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at True Food Kitchen, Easton Town Center, Columbus**.

COUNT monthly event: Kitchen service at Van Buren Center's shelter
Come assist Van Buren Shelter (https://ymcacolumbus.org/locations/vanburen) staff in serving dinners and cleaning up on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Dinner for the women is 5-6 pm and for the families is 6:15-7:15 pm. There is ample free parking available in the shelter's lot. The recommended area to park is in green in the image above.
There will be a new entrance for the time being. We are asking all volunteers to enter through the Donation Dock door, the orange mark on the image above. This door is located between the Single Adults and Family Shelter. You will see 2 large garage doors with a large green trash compactor in the center. Please head to the closest garage door to the building wall, with a ramp leading up. There, you will see a door with a sign stating instructions on how to enter the building. Please ring the doorbell, and a staff member will come and escort you into the building. If a staff member takes longer than 5 minutes, please call the front desk at 614-689-2020. This is a new process for us, and we do not want to keep you waiting! We appreciate your patience as we navigate this temporary change.
The shelter needs a volunteer count the day before the event so sign-up ends Monday at 4:50 PM. Afterwards some of us go to the Omnipresent Atheists Weekly Meetup in progress to have a bit to eat or drink (http://www.meetup.com/omnipresentatheists/).
Volunteers must be 14 or older. Since we will be working around families, the YMCA does not permit volunteering by individuals with convictions for violent or sexual crimes. The YMCA reserves the right to run background checks on volunteers.
For questions, comment on this page or contact: Andrew, awhit12@yahoo.com, (614)937-5802 (cell). Please let Andrew know if you volunteer anytime other than our COUNT events so that he can count your hours toward our service record.
Raising Conscious Kids – A Unity Family Experience
At Unity of Columbus, our Youth and Family Ministry nurtures the spiritual growth of children and families through love, joy, and practical spiritual teachings. Each Sunday, children explore timeless spiritual principles through stories, creative activities, music, and group sharing in a safe and welcoming environment.
Our program encourages children to discover their own inner light, express kindness, and develop a personal connection with God. Together, we celebrate diversity, cultivate understanding, and inspire each child to live with purpose and compassion. Parents and families are invited to join in this uplifting journey of learning, laughter, and spiritual connection.
Libera Animae - Freeing the Soul
Main Library, Meeting Room 2B
Join us for a welcoming evening of reflection, gentle music, and meaningful conversation. We’ll begin with a short grounding moment, followed by a brief reading from spiritual or philosophical traditions, and an open reflection circle where participants can share (or simply listen).
Libera Animae is an interfaith community focused on inner growth, creativity, and authentic connection.
All backgrounds are welcome.
