DANCE MOVEMENT THERAPY
Dance-Movement Therapy is a somatic practice that uses spontaneous movement as a way of self-exploration.
This workshop offers a gentle introduction to the principles of dance-movement therapy. It is not a dance class and not a fitness session. There are no steps to learn and no choreography to follow.
Participants are guided through simple movement and awareness exercises, sometimes individually and sometimes in interaction with others. The focus is on listening to the body, noticing impulses, and allowing movement to arise naturally.
Through this process, participants may experience greater grounding, emotional awareness, and nervous system regulation.
The atmosphere is supportive and non-judgmental. The intention is to create a safe and accessible space for exploration, not therapy.
No previous movement experience is required.
Facilitated by Marie Vejvodova, who completed a 4.5-year certified professional training in dance-movement therapy. She continues to deepen her education in somatic and self-development approaches in the Czech Republic and abroad. In her work, she creates a respectful and non-judgmental space where participants can reconnect with themselves through authentic movement.

Praha [MEWS]: Nowwwinky, Observability, zkušenosti a kompetence v době AI
Večer plný talků, nápadů, budoucnosti a podobně naladěných lidí.
**Hlavní line-up a na co se těšit dále** 🤩
* 🟢 18:00 otevíráme
* 1️⃣ 18:40 **Nowwwinky** od Tomáše Kouta
* 2️⃣ 19:00 **Frontend Observability v časech AI: přežitek nebo nutnost?** od Alexe Ratmana
* 3️⃣ 19:30 **Proč vám váš CEO bere práci?** od Martina Michálka
* 4️⃣ 20:00 **7 klíčových kompetencí vývojáře v době AI** od Marka Velase
* 🎓 80+ nadšených účastníků
* 🍻 a v neposlední řadě kvalitní catering a networking
\-\-\-
To nechcete. Nebo chcete? Vývojářská perspektiva mi umožňuje to vidět i očima frontendistek a frontendistů.
\-\-\-
Neváhejte s registrací a zabookujte si místo – bude to stát za to! 🎉

Naked Minds: Reconnect
**Naked Minds: Reconnect**
**Feel it. Don’t just think it.**
Launch price: 499 CZK (regular price: 1,499 CZK)
You need to register and buy [Tickets here](https://www.tixtree.com/e/naked-minds-the-reconnect-de1c7da985aa)
You spend most of your life in your head. Thinking, planning, solving, pushing through.
But your body? You often notice it only when something hurts, feels off, or slows you down.
**This time, we’re exploring it together — with Lubo Smid.**
A practical perspective on how to work with your body not as a performance tool, but as a source of energy, resilience, and clarity.
No theory. Just things that actually work in real life.
You tell yourself you’ll “take better care of it soon.” Move more. Rest more. Listen more.
It’s important. Just not urgent. So it stays on your list.
This evening is where you stop postponing it.
Not alone at home. But together — in a space where people also want to feel better, have more energy, and understand themselves beyond just thinking.
Not as a performance. Not as a biohacking experiment. But as a real experience.
We’ll slow down. We’ll feel more. We’ll reconnect.
We go honest. We go into detail. We go a little naked.
And in the right atmosphere, with the right people, that’s a lot easier.
You won’t leave with hacks or pressure. You’ll leave with awareness, clarity, and one concrete shift that actually fits your life.
**WHAT THIS EVENT IS ABOUT**
This is a structured, guided evening where we combine experience, reflection, and connection.
We will:
* Explore your current relationship with your body
* Notice where you feel energy, tension, and disconnection
* Learn how your **nervous system works (parasympathetic vs. sympathetic)**
* Experience simple breathing techniques to regulate it
* Understand how to **increase HRV (heart rate variability)**
* Go through a guided Body Audit
* Take part in a **cold plunge experience**
* Get a **biological age measurement** and new perspective
* Reflect on what your body has been trying to tell you
* Turn that into one simple, actionable shift
All of it inside a supportive community.
No pretending. No performance. Just real conversations, depth, and good energy.
**WHAT YOU’LL WALK AWAY WITH**
* A clearer connection to your body
* Understanding of how your nervous system affects your energy
* Practical tools to regulate stress and increase HRV
* Awareness of what gives you energy — and what drains it
* One concrete shift to test in your daily life
* New contacts and a sense you’re not doing this alone
Energy is not about pushing harder.
It’s about listening better.
**HOW IT FEELS**
Honest. Energising. Grounding.
There’s depth but it’s not heavy. There’s structure but it’s not rigid. There’s discomfort — and that’s part of it.
And yes, there’s laughter.
Together, it’s a lot easier.
**WHO THIS EVENT IS FOR**
This is for you if you:
* Feel disconnected from your body
* Are often tired but keep pushing anyway
* Want more energy without pressure or extremes
* Want to understand how your body actually works
* Want to slow down — but don’t want to do it alone
* Prefer real experience over just talking about it
**WHAT THIS IS … AND ISN’T**
This is not a fitness class. Not a performance challenge. Not a complex biohacking deep dive.
No ego. No “just push harder.”
This is a Naked Minds evening where you reconnect with your body, understand it better, and move forward in a way that actually feels sustainable.
**PRACTICAL INFO**
🎟 Launch price: 499 CZK (limited)

Wednesday Vltava Run
We are a group of runners who meet most weeks for a run around the beautiful Vltava River's edge.
You can bring your running shoes straight from the office/home office if you don't have time to stop at home. There will be a place to put your bags in the Cafe. We will run about 9 km along the river and have a drink afterwards. Paces vary!
We will meet in the square near Kavarna Liberal (Hermanova 6), near the Vltavska metro/tram stop at 6:30 on Wednesday.
See you there!
Join us for a 2.5-hour walk in the Old Town of Prague!
Who can attend this meetup:
The tour is an introduction to Prague and is mainly for expats and visitors to our city but everybody who would like to join is invited. ***Important***, please also fill in the booking form on our [website](https://freewalkingtourprague.eu/en/schedule) if you are planning to come (otherwise we will not expect you).
Description:
Meet us by the Powder Tower, the historical gate to the Old Town and starting point of the Royal Route.
Then have an educative walk through the narrow and picturesque streets of the historical center of Prague. Enjoy the unique diversity of architectural styles from Gothic to Art Nouveau. See some of the most interesting sites and get to know fascinating facts and legends of the 1000-year old capital of Bohemia.
End the tour at the riverside 5 minutes away from the Charles Bridge, from which you can continue the tour on your own (or again with us) towards Malá Strana or Prague Castle.
======
Meeting point: We will be standing by the Powder Tower at the side of the Namestí Republiky square with a green umbrella in hand :)
Map: https://goo.gl/maps/tzqKpZ2945S2
Price: there is no fixed price, you will be able to decide yourself how much you value the tour. If you don't know how much is best (and can afford it) we recommend 200Kč, but it really depends on you how much you contribute.
Join us also on our [Facebook profile](https://www.facebook.com/freewalkingtoursprague/) :) and if you are travelling to other cities check out our friends at the [Free Tour Community website](https://freetourcommunity.com/).
For any questions, please contact us at info@freewalkingtourprague.eu. Unfortunately, the meetup application does not always send us phone notifications.
Reminder - only people who booked on our [official free walking tour website](https://freewalkingtourprague.eu/en/schedule) can join the tour and if the tour shows fully booked on the website it means there are no free spots. The meetup list doesn't count in this case.
We look forward to meeting you,
Michal, Amanda, Lana, Iva & Chris

* When providing written feedback (not required, but deeply welcome), save the file as a separate document on your device, then mark your changes/ feedback in the saved file. After you're finished, put the file in the "Feedback" folder under the folder for the meeting date and then under the person the feedback is for (e.g. "For Sonya").
* The submissions folder will be replaced within a week after the meeting has taken place. Feedback will be deleted within 2 months after the meeting, so if you need it longer than that, make sure to copy it to your own disk.
Scraping Like It’s 2026
This time, the event will also include a **competition** and the **announcement of its results**. The description can be found below.
For more information about the competition, please click **[HERE](https://deepscout-challenge.miton.cz/).**
Web scraping is no longer just about simple scripts. Modern websites are complex, dynamic, and protected by many anti-scraping systems. At the same time, companies need large amounts of structured data from the web.
In this event, we will focus on a real scraping use case and use it to explain how modern scraping works. You will learn what kinds of protections websites use today, what tools can be used depending on website difficulty, and what technical challenges appear in practice. We will also show how machine learning and AI help turn messy web data into structured, usable information.

Shut Up & Write!® East Side Columbus
Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 7:00pm on Wednesday, April 22 at Streetlight Guild.
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
**SCHEDULE:**
6:45ish - Quick introductions
7:00 - Timer starts: write for 1 hour
8:00 - The End
**OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING** happens before and after the writing hour. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.
**BEING LATE IS OKAY:** just show up and get settled! If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.

Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington.
The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo.
Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine.
We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you.
The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly.
Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome.
The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit.
Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times.
Feel free to message me privately wth any questions and/ or concerns you may have.
Happy writing!

See you at The Café on Saturday!
Shut Up & Write!™ Easton Town Center
We'll meet at The Capital One Café, 167 Easton Town Center, Space A-103. This is in the main mall where the Microsoft store used to be, on your left if you're standing at the bottom of the AMC Theater escalator.
Join us on Saturday for an hour of uninterrupted wordmaking!
• What we'll do
Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 10AM on Saturday mornings.
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
SCHEDULE:
10:00 - SESSION 1: quick intros.
10:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour.
11:10 - chat / take off / keep writing.
OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 11A-11:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.
BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session. (I’ll be the person with the Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.
Happy writing and I look forward to seeing you!

Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for April is "Water"
Speak Easy: true stories, told live.
The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast.
Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect.
The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!
IxDA Chat ‘n Pancakes
Pay attention! We’re delaying a week for those of you who may be on Spring break and/or celebrating the holiday. Ok, no pancakes, but waffles-a-plenty.
Join the local UX and Digital Design community for a casual monthly breakfast.
Look for us upstairs!
