**Welcome to Soul Gate Healing Chi-Yoga.** **Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00am.** **Saturday by reservation at 12:00/ PST.** **Please note No classes the first 2 weeks of April , from 4/3 to 4/13. Due to travels. Classes will resume on Saturday 4/15** www.soulgatehealing.com I'm looking forward to sharing this practice with you. Please email me your contact for the zoom link and more details: osi@soulgate.net **The Soul Gate Healing** practices based on the ancient Taoist practices of Chi-Nei-Tsang (CNT), Qigong, Yoga, Healing Sounds and Chinese Medicine. **This Chi-Yoga practice** deepens connection to our core, to the breath, to oneself and others, with movements and toning. We explore Qigong and meridians stretching to cultivate more strength in our physical and emotional bodies, harmonizing our Yin & Yang energy flow for rejuvenation and relaxation. **The six Healing Sounds** are primary, pre-language vocal expressions. Regardless of culture, race or geographical location, babies all over the worlds express these sounds prior to communication through words, to support and strengthen the development of our life-giving systems. Toning the 6 Healing sounds is a powerful practice that revitalizes and nurtures the Internal Organs throughout our life. Bring a yoga mat or towel and comfortable clothes for stretching. If you are not comfortable on the floor, you could do the stretching portion on a bed or a chair. Women's Circle
Women's Circle
Welcome to the The Woman’s Circle! The Woman’s Circle began as a supportive offering during the period of the global pandemic, and has now grown into a warm, fun and nurturing space for inner connection and friendship. Each circle shares a movement, meditation or self-healing practice, and is an opportunity to take a collective breath in sisterhood, providing a helpful pause in your week to recenter and reflect. We meet every Thursday evening 8-9pm PST, over Zoom. This is a free event, although donations are gratefully welcomed! Join our online women's circle community on Mighty Networks where our weekly meditations are posted [here](https://mothertreehealingarts.mn.co/plans/279845?bundle_token=c7ef2f03c9d722bd332dfbb9f9529ca1&utm_source=manual). What to expect: Each Circle works to a similar format starting with the opportunity for introductions. You will then be guided through a movement, meditation or breath practice, to help open and relax the body and mind, and release anything from the day. We may discuss an inspiration point, something to reflect on and how it relates to our lives. Following this, the circle is opened to share reflections and experiences. How to sign-up: All new members are invited to a personal meet and greet 10 minute zoom meeting. This gives an opportunity to share more about the circle. To sign up please visit: www.jesslakin.com/woman-community After completing the waiver, look out for an email with available appointments for the meet and greet. Please note, I am unable to admit you to the meeting before the meet and greet, so please prepare to sign-up early and preferably before 6.00pm on Thursday's to give adequate time to arrange the meet and greet. The meet and greet is a one time meeting, after which you will receive the women's circle zoom links by email. These are sent out around 5pm each Thursday afternoon. If you have been to the circle previously, and would like to attend but you are not on the mailing list please email me directly at connect@jesslakin.com. Any issues with registering, or for general questions please reach out. I look forward to connecting! Warm wishes, Jess Lakin

Music Makers ONLINE!!
Music Makers ONLINE!!
Click on the below link and follow the steps to join. You can join from a computer, phone or tablet, computer has best audio usually. See tips below. To join Zoom Meeting https://zoom.us/j/342195107?pwd=sDziLcXI-KlmCcnAc3cRWA Meeting ID: 342 195 107 Password: musicmaker A lovely session of music and song in a relaxed and supportive environment. All levels of musician and singer welcome. You can come and sing or play one song or just come and listen to the other members. Great way to build up your playing skills and build up your confidence. To maintain our zoom and music maker accounts we request a €2 contribution. It is difficult to collect money for the online events so we are suggesting that if possible we could use revolut to transfer the €2 if you don't have an account I'm sure you know someone who could do the transaction for you. The host will identify the Revolut number on the night. If you don't have access to revolut it doesn't matter we will look at some other way to collect the €2 euro. Zoom is not optimized for music, but we have tested it and think it's decent enough for a get together in the absence of a face to face meeting. Voice is better than instrument. Zoom is pretty simple to get into and use. You don't need an account but if you want to test it out beforehand, you can get a free one by searching for it where you get your apps or downloading it on the web. A few simple guidelines to ensure it runs smoothly. 1. Stay on mute while someone else is playing or singing. You can join in ONLY if you are on mute, because the delay over the internet does not allow simultaneous playing online. 2. When you are playing, stay as close to your device's microphone as possible for best results. 3. There are two views - Gallery view and Active Speaker view. Active speaker will put the video on the person singing, Gallery view will show everyone. You may have to search a bit to find each view, it is different on each device. 4. You can mute your audio and/or your video. The host reserves the right to mute anyone whose line is causing audio interference. 5. There is an interesting option to record yourself first and then share it - the quality will be better. In Zoom there's an icon called "Share Content", if you click that you get the option to share files on you Google Drive etc. I've just tried it out and it allows you to throw up pre-recorded audio and/or video files. These replace your video picture while they play. When they finish just hit the share content icon again and your video image comes back. So this might be an option for anyone to pre-recrord (good quality), load onto Google Drive, join a Zoom session and, when it comes to their turn, introduce their song and share the pre-recorded song from G Drive. 6. As mentioned above, Zoom is optimised for voice rather than music so it actually tries to filter out music thinking that it's background noise but that filter can be disabled but only on Windows and macOS as follows: On the Zoom Home page on you laptop: Click on 'Settings' (top right) Then click on 'Audio' (left pane) Then click 'Advanced' (bottom right) Then tick the box at the top of the screen 'Show in-meeting option to "Enable Original Sound" from microphones' Then, when you're on a call, a toggle switch appears at the top left of your screen "Turn on Original Sound". Click that - it changes to "Turn off Original Sound" and you're done. Preferred setup for anyone with an instrument might thus be: 1) Windows or macOS 2) Turn on Original Sound 3) Direct connect to router (rather than Wi-Fi) Even better if you have a microphone connected via an audio interface device to your laptop/PC. 7. Don't forget your drink!
Marcie's English Conversation Circle
Marcie's English Conversation Circle
Hello! I have been facilitating English Conversation Circles for about 7 years, and have moved to an on-line platform when Covid hit in 2020. We gather every Friday for 1.5 hour and get to know each other as we practice our English in a safe and comfortable space. This is not a class, it is a gathering of folks from around the world who want to practice their English. Here are some guidelines for the group: 1) The primary goal of the group is to practice English. 2) We will all respect each other, be kind, and patient to those whose English is more basic. I hope to see you! \~\~ Marcie
Thursday morning online Kirtan with Nikki Slade
Thursday morning online Kirtan with Nikki Slade
This is an invitation to open your heart and connect to your vocal power through the yoga of sound. Kirtan (chanting) does for your insides what a yoga asana class does for your physical body. It is the perfect way to dissolve blockages and stress through the vibrations of the sound. Kirtan is a universal practice that belongs to everyone and is as relevant today as it originally was centuries ago. We will chant together in call and response accompanied by harmonium and drum. The overall experience is like a meditation with voice. You don’t have to sing – your voice is the instrument for you to connect to your inner power. Most importantly expect to have fun! You will leave feeling free, energized, uplifted and joyful for the week ahead. Nikki will be holding weekly Online sessions for the next few weeks to help us maintain a healthy mind and positive outlook through these challenging times. How does this work? The sessions will be happening every Thursday via the Zoom online platform. Once you book, you will receive and email message from hanna@nikkislade.com or pa@freetheinnervoice.com with an invitation from these addresses (look in your spam folders!) with a link that you can simply click to open the zoom meeting directly from your computer, tablet or mobile device. Contra dance with Big Scioty April 11 - Clinton Heights Lutheran church
Contra dance with Big Scioty April 11 - Clinton Heights Lutheran church
**Caller: Kim Thompson** **Band: Full Moon Country Dance Orchestra** **Clinton Heights Lutheran Church** **15 Clinton Heights Ave, Columbus, OH 43202** WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner. Cost is $10.00 adults, $5.00 ages 12-26. Under 12 free. Free parking in church lot. For more information contact me or check out our website: [www.bigscioty.com](http://www.bigscioty.com/) Please bring your own refillable water bottle.
