Hi, all Independent Movie Lovers. You are invited meet at 7 pm, on Friday the 17th of April. This meeting is at the Café on the ground floor of the Light House Cinema, Smithfield Square, Dublin. We will discuss the film: **Two Prosecutors** (2025), directed by Russian director Sergey Loznitsa. The IFI is the only cinema now showing this movie, and lists it under the original title **Zwei Staatsanwälte**. We will also discuss the movie: **Amélie** (2001), directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet. This is the live-action movie from 2001, not the unrelated animated movie 'Little Amélie' currently in cinemas. We will watch the movies independently, and meet for discussion on Friday the 17th of April, at 7 pm, at the Café on the ground floor of the Light House Cinema, Smithfield Square. **Two Prosecutors**, under the title **Zwei Staatsanwälte,** is showing at the Irish Film Institute (IFI), Eustace St, until Thursday the 9th of April, with one performance each day, subtitled. **Amélie** is available for online rental on Sky Store, Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video. 🏓 Beginner Table Tennis @ House of Padel Hi everyone! I’m new to table tennis and just starting to learn how to play. I created this event for anyone like me who wants to practice, learn the basics, and improve together. This is a beginner-friendly session, so no experience is needed at all. We’ll keep it simple, help each other, and most importantly have fun. If you’re also new and want to start, join me and let’s learn together! 🏓😊

Join us for a cycle to the lovely village of **Enniskerry**, then back to Dublin along the scenic **Glencree**, valley, then over the **Featherbeds**,and back down in Dublin at Rathfarnham. **Level of difficulty**: 60km, 710m climbing NOTE: We will be keeping an even pace on this cycle. Here is our plan for the day. 1️⃣ We leave from Cafe Nero at 930am 2️⃣Cycle out to Eniskerry where we stop for coffee 3️⃣ Continue to Glencree, over the Featherbeds, and back to Rathfarnham 4️⃣ All going well we should be back in the city by 1:30 Please wear a helmet and bring a tube, etc, in case you get a puncture. Please note - It is every participant's responsibility to ride safely, follow the rules of the road, and come prepared with the proper equipment. Join us for a swim at Seapoint on Sunday @ 12p.m. Regulars and newcomers are welcome to join us. You have the option to swim, paddle around and have a chat, or just dip your toes, the choice is yours. We recommend that you don't stay in the water too long as it's still quite cold this time of year, and please stay within your debt - we do look out for each other but we are not lifeguards. And remember to bring warm clothes for after the swim and keep warm, and maybe a hot drink too.. **We meet at the Lifeguard hut on Brightonvale road, or if it's raining we will meet at the shelters.** Afterwards we usually go for a coffee at cafe du journel - join us if you want to, the option is yours. Look forward to seeing you all there.

The DNS goes rogue as it ventures southside. On this walk I will join up four of Dublins main waterways in a looped walk of the city. Meeting at Broombridge train station, we'll join the Royal Canal towpath. From there we will make our way city bound to the river Liffey. Crossing the city through Grand Canal Dock, we will walk upstream along the banks of the river Dodder towards Miltown. There is one stop on this 11 km. walk st Ballsbridge. This walk offers many interesting and historic stops along the way. These include Croke Park and Aviva stadium, limekilns and wildlife. Our walk finishes at the Dropping Well pub car park. The pub is under refurbishment at the time of print but toilet facilities remain available. However, coffee and snacks are available outside.

Explore Saint Catherine's Park, Lucan. We will be meeting at Connolly Train Station at 11:30AM. (Beside the Pret A Manger). At 11:35AM, we will be walk to the (Intercity Commuter) Maynooth, which is scheduled for 11:47AM. This train goes through 9 train stations (Connolly, Drumcondra, Broombridge, Pelletstown, Ashtown, Navan Road Parkway, Castleknock, Coolmine and Consilla), everyone that is coming, is welcome to get on from any of those stations mentioned. We will arrive at Leixlip Train Station 12:19 (Estimated) When everyone is of the train we will be walking 34 minutes (2.5KM) to the Starting Point of the Walking Loop. The Loop at Saint Catherine's Park is 3.9KM (About 1 Hour and 30 Minutes). This is an old woodland in Ireland, it can be an exotic habitat, while we are walking through the woods we will see beaches, swamps and hills. This park contains one of very few remaining examples of this primative habitat. There are toilet at the beginning of the walking loop. We will be walking through Lucan Demense and Ruins of Saint Catherine's Church. Every event is 5 Euro's, you can pay by using Revolut or Cash, this goes towards my meet-up subsription fee and it takes a alot of time organising these events on meet-up and doing them. You can get the Luas from Point Square or Connolly Train Station which is quick or you can get the S6 Bus or 27 Bus to Tallaght.** **Please bring some supplies with you like a packed lunch, water or snacks with you.** **We will be getting the on the 82 Killtipper Way Bus at 13:19PM** **Bus Duration 7 Minutes, and getting off at 13:26 PM and starting Our Walk.** **8.9km Trail Duration is 2.5–3 Hours.** **Trial (Easy)** **Every event is 5 euros, you can pay by using Revolut or Cash.** **This helps me maintains the group and this takes a lot of time and effort.** **I hope to see you there !**

We'll hike 3.4 miles on the Killdeer and Yellowlegs Trails - both out and back gravel trails. If we want more mileage we can repeat an out and back. Pace of around 3.5 mph, no one left behind and those who want to go faster sure can! As always optional lunch after. This is the second Metro Park in the lineup for me - with 21 to go (plus more are being added).
