Hey guys and gals, This meetup is to help you discover healthy restaurants in Vienna that support your diet and also to introduce those who are considering the benefits of a plant-based diet to some great and tasty food. On se rencontre chaque mercredi pour parler français. Parmi nous, il y a des gens qui ont le français comme langue maternelle, et des gens qui aiment le français et le maîtrisent plus ou moins. On aime discuter et parler de tout et de rien, et on est toujours content de recevoir des gens qui sont de passage ou des nouvelles personnes qui veulent écouter, parler, pratiquer ou poser des questions. Cette semaine, on retourne au Café Merkur, Café sympa et calme avec une cuisine de mediteranée orientale. La table est toujours gérée d'une façon très libre et relaxée, on se rencontre et on parle aux autres participants et participantes autour de nous. NOTE: Si vous comptez venir, inscrivez-vous s'il vous plaît, pour qu'on puisse prévoir assez (mais pas trop non plus) d'espace au restaurant. Comme ça, on sera à l'aise et l'endroit qui nous accueille aussi. On commence à 18h30 , mais ce n'est pas un problème de rejoindre après. Spring is back! You are invited to hike with us on **Sunday, April 12**, in the quiet hills around Vienna, starting together at 13:00 from Hütteldorf U4 U-Bahn/S-Bahn station and reaching the Jubiläumswarte on foot at around 450 mt altitude. The exact **meeting point** is just outside the station door facing the bus stops (you'll have the Anker bakery on your left when you exit through that door). A funny pug named Uschi will probably join us. We'll reach the Stadtwanderweg number 4 together and then we'll follow that hiking path entirely. We'll do a 30-minute stop near the observation tower on the top of the hill, where you can eat your fruits and snacks, and we plan to be back at the Hütteldorf station at 17:00. Please bring 1 liter of water and wear sturdy shoes and comfortable clothes. The hike is not long, but it is moderately difficult. We might sit in the meadow for a while if the weather allows it, so bringing a blanket could also be useful. IMPORTANT: This is not a guided hike, but simply a chance to experience nature around Vienna together, so everyone is responsible for their own health and safety. Join us for a tour of Brothers Drake Meadery in Grandview, hosted by the owner Oron Benary. He will explain the mead-making process and offer us generous samples of their fine meads. Mead is basically wine that is made from honey instead of grapes. There are many different flavors that range from dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet, to sweet. They are best known for their Apple Pie Mead. Oron has offered us a special price of 5.00 each person for the tour and tasting, which is normally 25.00 per person. I've taken the tour several times, and it's always enlightening and fun. Rebecca will bring a tea that will pair well with the mead for a tea tasting afterwards. Park anywhere around the building. Please avoid parking in front of the houses in the neighborhood behind the Meadery. Please keep your RSVP current. Knowing how many will attend will help Brothers Drake plan accordingly to accommodate us.
