From AI Experiments to Production: How Teams Actually Scale AI Workflows
From AI Experiments to Production: How Teams Actually Scale AI Workflows
**Quick heads up: RSVPing here helps us gauge interest, but you’ll need to complete your registration on AI Camp to save your spot and get event updates. It only takes a minute. Sign up [here](https://www.aicamp.ai/event/eventdetails/W2026052715) and you’re all** **set**. **[https://www.aicamp.ai/event/eventdetails/W2026052715](https://www.aicamp.ai/event/eventdetails/W2026052715)** AI is everywhere in development right now. Coding assistants. Autonomous agents. Background workflows. AI-generated PRs. But most teams are stuck in the same place: * Experiments work, production doesn’t. * AI writes code faster, but workflows break. * Agents generate output, but teams can’t trust or scale it. * And governance gets added too late, slowing everything down. This meetup is for developers and platform teams who want to understand what it actually takes to move from AI experimentation to production-ready workflows. We’ll focus on how teams are redesigning their development workflows to work with AI, not just adding tools on top. That includes how to structure workflows, manage agents, and introduce the right level of control without killing developer velocity. No hype. No tool comparisons. Just a clear look at why most AI workflows fail and what actually works at scale. **You’ll walk away with:** * A clear understanding of why most AI workflows break when moving to production * Insight into how AI changes the software development lifecycle, not just coding * A practical model for structuring AI workflows across planning, building, and operations * Examples of how teams are introducing control and consistency without slowing developers down * A mental model for scaling AI usage across teams, not just individual developers **Who this is for:** * Beginner → intermediate software developers * Platform engineers and DevOps folks supporting dev teams * Anyone using (or wanting to use) AI tools beyond simple autocomplete **Agenda:** * 5:30pm\~6:00pm: Checkin, Food and Networking * 6:00pm\~6:15pm: Welcome/community update * 6:15pm\~8:00pm: Tech talks and Q&A * 8:00pm\~8:30pm: Open discussion & Mixer

Then It Shipped** **Speaker:** David Edoh-Bedi (Datadog) **Abstract:** Your CI is green. Your evals passed in dev. You shipped the agent. Now what? Production AI agents fail in ways your test suite was never built to catch. Prompts drift silently as people "optimize" them. Agents enter tool loops and burn through your API budget overnight. Your dashboards stay green and your users notice anyway. This talk walks through real production failure modes using a live agent, shows what each one looked like from the outside (spoiler: fine), and demonstrates the monitoring that actually caught them. You'll leave with specific instrumentation to add before your next agent ships, and a clearer sense of what your dashboards aren't telling you. **Topics/Speakers:** Check the [event website](https://www.aicamp.ai/event/eventdetails/W2026022415) for speakers and topics. If you have a keen interest in speaking to our community, we invite you to submit topics for consideration: [Submit Topics](https://forms.gle/JkMt91CZRtoJBSFUA) **Sponsors:** We are actively seeking sponsors to support AI developers community. Whether it is by offering venue spaces, providing food, or cash sponsorship. Sponsors will not only speak at the meetups, receive prominent recognition, but also gain exposure to our extensive membership base of 8,000+ AI developers in Austin and 500K+ worldwide.
Brewtique - Crafters Drinking Crafts
Brewtique - Crafters Drinking Crafts
The Brewtique allows you to grab a beer/cider/water from the coolers to drink inside, and as they don't have a kitchen, you can bring your own food to munch on. There's also a new restaurant at the other end of this shopping center, The Dugout Gametime Grill - https://thedugoutgtg.com/ you can order from and pick up to eat while you're frosting!! *** Craft with Crafts. Bring the portable CRAFT of your choice and enjoy it alongside CRAFT beer (or whatever) and friendly faces sporting crafty wit\*. We're pretty darn fun. For reals, we craft in a bar, so we are nothing like your mama's stitch & bitch. Knit, Crochet, Cross stitch, or craft whatever lap work you are into at the moment. The lighting is pretty good. Still, you might want to bring an easy project as a backup as we usually sit in the couches sitting area, not at the tables. **PLEASE NOTE:** If you are new to a hobby, and would like to use this as an opportunity to learn more or get some 1:1 time with someone who can help you get through a roadblock, etc, please let us know beforehand so we can come prepared either with supplies/tools and the plan to focus with you, or make accommodations as needed!! \*We So Punny!
Connected: A Phone-Free Evening in Austin
Connected: A Phone-Free Evening in Austin
Join us for a phone-free evening of creativity, conversation, and real connection. We’ll bring some pens, paint, pots, and a mix of random art supplies. No art skills needed, no pressure to make anything “good” or to make anything at all. Just a chance to put your phone away, and not miss it. We will also have very simple game supplies, a deck of cards, pencils and papers. Again, no pressure to participate in any of those. We’ll have phone pouches available so you can step away from screens for the evening. Expect local sparkling water, relaxed creativity, good energy, and conversation without digital distractions. We’re two friends in Austin creating space to step away from screens and rediscover the power of presence. This is part of Gen C (Generation Connect) a small movement toward more genuine human connection. Wednesday, May 27 at 6:30 PM Central Market North Lamar patio

In-Person Playtesting
Join us to try out and provide feedback on games in development by local game designers, or bring a game of your own to playtest! This session will meet at Emerald Tavern. Food and drink are available for purchase on-site. We’ll do our best to accommodate both short (30-60 min) and longer games. Please arrive by the start time, especially if you have a game; if we have more games than players, you'll be signing the game in so it can enter a drawing for tables. Where you'll find us: Check the room beyond the bar (back and to the left); we're often in there. If we aren't, we'll be at tables indoors or out and typically have a table sign to help you locate an organizer. If we don't, look for the people with handmade games! **COVID Note:** Masks are optional for attendees who are vaccinated and boosted. If you prefer to be masked and play with other masked players, please let us know and we will accommodate through pairing up or the use of an outdoor table on the patio.

The building address is 4450 Bridge Park The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400 You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge. **Abstract** Like it or not, AI agents are now capable of turning a quickly written paragraph of requirements into a pull request that is ready to be integrated into real-world production applications and it's now our responsibility to make sure AI doesn't go rogue and take down prod - or corrupt our data by misunderstanding the requirements or our existing schemas. In this session we'll explore strategies to protect our codebases through unit and integration testing, documentation, and code review along with additional ways of providing context and guard rails to our AI agents as they carry out the work we've assigned them to do. By the time we're done, you'll have a firm grasp of the problem and understand some helpful options for protecting your codebase from vibe coding mishaps getting YOLOed into prod. **YouTube Link** https://youtube.com/live/BltmWMH1zG0?feature=share

Tuesday, June 2nd, 5:00–8:30 PM Eastern Central Ohio Chapter Meeting IN PERSON IN COLUMBUS How I Get Private Lenders and Partners to Fund My Deals If you can’t fund it, you don’t have a deal. And right now, funding is where more investors are getting stuck. Private lenders are more cautious. Partners are asking better questions. And deals that look good on paper still fall apart when the money doesn’t show up. That’s why we’re bringing in a panel of investors who are actually getting their deals funded right now. You’ll hear how they’re finding money, structuring deals, and building relationships that lead to repeat funding. Here’s what you’ll learn: * Where they’re finding private lenders today * How they start conversations that lead to funding * What makes lenders and partners say YES * How they structure deals to be fundable * The biggest mistakes investors make when raising money * How to build repeat funding relationships **Early Session (6:00–7:00 PM Eastern):** **Having Trouble Finding Tenants? This helps me know how many to expect, and if we'll need additional space! * **COVID:** While masks are not required, please be mindful of the other writers around you and their comfort levels. * **WIFI/OUTLETS:** Outlets are limited, so please ensure your devices are charged when you come! But Streetlight Guild does have free WiFi! Yay! * **PARKING:** There is free public parking at Streetlight Guild.
