Es gibt inzwischen mehrere Java-native Ansätze für Web-UIs — ihr kennt vermutlich einige davon aus früheren Meetups. Die meisten setzen voraus, dass ihr eure UI von Grund auf neu schreibt und bestehenden Code hinter REST-APIs kapselt. Unser Ansatz ist ein anderer: Wir zeigen einen **zweistufigen Migrationspfad**, der mit der unveränderten Bestandsanwendung im Browser startet und die Modernisierung dann Bildschirm für Bildschirm vorantreibt — ohne den Betrieb zu unterbrechen und ohne eine zweite Technologie einzuführen. Im ersten Schritt kommt **Webswing** zum Einsatz — eine Laufzeitumgebung, die Java-Desktop-Anwendungen (Swing, JavaFX, SWT, Eclipse RCP) unverändert im Browser bereitstellt, indem sie auf Toolkit-Ebene in die AWT-Pipeline eingreift und das Rendering über HTML5 Canvas und WebSocket an den Client streamt. Join us for our regular Tuesday evening playing Padel. **How we play** Intermediate and Advanced Players are welcome (no beginners on Tuesday, please join us on Friday or Sunday instead). Number of courts depends on the number of players * 4-7 players: one court * 8-11 players: two courts * 12-15 players: three courts Ideally, 6, 10 or 14 players are attending * Then you play two matches in a row and then take a break * A match is played in a single set. First team reaching four games wins the match. We play a minimum of six games per set (means even after 4:0 you still play two more games in this set) If an odd number of players are attending, we adapt to the situation Teams are mixed all the time. So you will play with/against different players during the event * Teams are put together based on their skill level * We focus on having balanced teams **Price** * 10 € for 1h * 17 € for 2h * If you need a racket, you can rent it from us for 2 € (limited number available). Otherwise you can always rent from the venue for 5 € * We use the money to cover the courts rent, base-subscription for renting, providing balls and rackets **Cancellation** * Please cancel at least 4h before the event. Inspiriert wurde ich durch die Walk & Talk Gruppe in Hamburg, wo ich mehrere Male dabei war als ich in Hamburg lebte. Unterschiedliche Menschen treffen sich einmal in der Woche für einen flotten Spaziergang und unterhalten sich dabei. Ich liebe es neue Menschen kennenzulernen und auch bekannte Gesichter wiederzusehen, dann geh ich ganz nebenbei und das macht auch noch Spaß.😊 **Walk:** Wir brauchen einfach regelmäßige Bewegung und ich weiß selbst, wie schwierig es ist, diese in den Alltag zu integrieren.
