Seitai free group session
Seitai free group session
Come join us for a gentle yet powerful Seitai group practice — a space where silence, breath, and spontaneous movement meet. This is a donation-based event, so you’re free to contribute what feels right (from 0€ to (your choice)€). ✨ What is Seitai? Seitai (整体) is a Japanese practice that helps you reconnect with your body’s innate intelligence. Through subtle awareness and guided techniques, you’ll be invited to: Listen deeply to your body through Yuki (a meditative, hands-on practice of sensing and following the breath). Release hidden tension with Katsugen — allowing involuntary, spontaneous movements to arise naturally. Find balance in stillness and movement, letting your body recalibrate itself in surprising ways. Seitai is not about control or forcing; it’s about giving voice to the movements your body has been waiting to express. Sometimes this brings ease, clarity, and lightness. Sometimes it stirs up dizziness, discomfort, or emotions. Every experience is valid — and you are always free to pause or leave at any time. 🌌 Why join? Discover a practice that many find deeply transformative. Create space for release, renewal, and vitality. Explore in community, whether you’re a curious first-timer or already familiar with Seitai. 👕 Practical details Wear comfortable clothes and bring a towel and water to stay hydrated. Bring openness and curiosity. Watchers are welcome — you can simply observe, or dive into active practice. The session is guided, but the real teacher is your own body. ✨ Learn more: 🎥 Watch a short video: https://youtu.be/KF7agFE1zss?si=6UhmjwaIAfBo-_Op 📖 Read more about Seitai: https://seitaibarcelona.com/what-is-seitai/ Everyone is welcome, whether you are completely new or already familiar with Seitai. Bring comfortable clothes and an open mind. 💰 This event is donation-based, supporting the space and allowing us to keep offering it. Private one-to-one sessions are also available at an affordable price. 🌿 Step into silence, breath, and spontaneous movement — your body knows the way. ✨ Was ist Seitai? Kissing dojo
Kissing dojo
**Kissing dojo** with ***Noam Raz*** for **GBTQ+ men\*** **[Book a ticket](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/sensual-touch/w16-2026)** Member: **15€** Non-member: **30€** A kiss can be gentle, intense, shy, or hungry. It can open doors, create longing, or reveal boundaries. In this Dojo, we will take time to explore kissing in a delicate and detailed way, paying close attention to the physical, emotional, and relational nuances inside this exciting act. The exploration will be slow, gradual, and methodical. We will give a great deal of importance to digestion (verbal and non-verbal), as it happens, moving back and forth between stimulation and regulation. This creates a space that supports noticing how much of a weight a kiss could actually carry, how intimate it is to come into such contact with another, and what is a good and aligned way for me to do it with this person now. **What to expect:** This Dojo is for anyone curious about exploring lip-to-lip contact in a systematic and attentive way. The emphasis is on cultivating the ability to listen — to each other and to oneself. Making space for all sensations, emotions and parts of ourselves that may arise. We begin with a solo somatic warm up (Feldenkrais inspired), to get into dialogue with the body. Spending some time with sensations and impulses, without the relational element. From there we move into partner work, gently introducing contact and consent. Participants are encouraged to say no, or check and then say no (or yes), and to follow their own pace throughout. Roughly half of the workshop is devoted to preparation before lip-to-lip contact, using forms of touch and interaction that most people find comfortable with anyone.

Radical Empathy
Radical Empathy
**Radical Empathy – Tools for Togetherness** **Relationships and Partnerships** with ***Neo Seefried ***& ***Maximilian Popp*** for **LGBTQIA+** Free with[ ](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/radical-empathy/w16-2026)**[registration](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/radical-empathy/w16-2026)** How do we stay connected in queer contexts when conflict, strong emotions, and differences arise? In this session on r**elationships and partnerships**, guest **Maximilian Popp** (systemic couples therapist) brings a compact mix of input and practice—on triggers, shame, and common protective strategies—plus practical tools for regulation, difficult conversations, and repairing after an argument. **This Month’s Guest: Maximilian Popp – Systemic Couples Therapist** Relationships and Partnerships In this workshop, guest Maximilian Popp offers a practical mix of a short talk and an exercise. Together, we’ll explore what conflicts in close relationships can bring to the surface—and how queer experiences can shape our patterns around closeness, arguments, and withdrawal. The session also introduces everyday tools to help us stay more regulated, clear, and connected in difficult moments. We’ll close with space to reflect on our own strategies and try out new possibilities for deeper connection. **About Radical Empathy** **Radical Empathy – Tools for Togetherness** builds on Radical Empathy – Queer Storytelling for Connection (2025) and further develops the format: from collective storytelling to collective practice. The workshop series strengthens queer solidarity in all its diversity and asks: How can we stay connected, especially when things get tough? Hosted by **Neo Seefried**, the series combines collective storytelling with somatic, communicative, and creative tools to remain capable of acting in queer contexts when faced with conflicts, emotions, and differences—without avoiding or escalating them, but rather with greater clarity, care, and relational competence. Each session has its own thematic focus (including grief & death, relationships, migration, HIV/AIDS, club culture & substances, trans/inter/non-binary) and is complemented by a guest who explores the respective topic in depth. At the center is the Resonance Circle: a space for shared stories, mindful listening, and resonance—empathy as a practice that we train together and carry into our daily lives.

I highly recommend you to join us from the beginning. 1.) 12:00 - 12:30 pm: Gathering at the meeting spot. 2.) 12:30 - 01:30 pm: Going together to TV Asahi cherry blossom alley. 3.) 01:30 - 05:00 pm. Picnic under cherry blossom trees. 4.) 06:00 - 8:00 pm: Dinner/Drinks at the Kerb (optional). ⚠️\*\*Due to the extremely short full bloom, I might change the date of the Hanami. Please be flexible.\*\*⚠️ **1.) How to find the Manifesto Market:** [https://goo.gl/maps/aSnChzLuE6akyP4F8](https://goo.gl/maps/aSnChzLuE6akyP4F8) This will be only our meeting spot. The food hub is located in "The Playce". The new flagship shopping center of Potsdamer Platz. Most likely we will be waiting next to Kabuki near the stairs leading to the first floor. **2.) Going to TV Asahi cherry blossom alley:** We'll use public transport to get to this place. If you live in the south you can join us directly there. **3.) Hanami at TV Asahi cherry blossom alley:** Bring a blanket, some drinks and snacks. After the reunification of Germany, TV Asahi donated about 10.000 cherry blossom trees to Berlin and Brandenburg as a symbol of peace. The TV Asahi cherry blossom alley is has 1000 cherry blossom trees. Hence, it's considered the most spectacular cherry blossom spot near Berlin. **4\. How to find the Kerb food court** [https://maps.app.goo.gl/xJTQg9oBoGL67syz7](https://maps.app.goo.gl/xJTQg9oBoGL67syz7) Kerb is located at the former Sony Center. The new flagship food court of Potsdamer Platz. Most likely we will be sitting upstairs on the first floor next to the bar (take the stairs to the left). ***Best ways to get there:*** 1\. U2 \(subway\): Get off at Potsdamer Platz and walk around 7 min to Kerb. 2\. Bus M41 or M85 Get off at Potsdamer Platz and walk 5 min to Kerb. *Who is this meetup for:* 1\. Asians who want to practice German and/or English\. 2\. German speaking individuals who are studying \(preferably\) Japanese\, Korean\, Mandarin or Cantonese\. 3\. Anyone who is interested in cultural exchange and wants to socialize\. *What you can expect:* 1\. A professionally organized meetup that can adapt to any changes given the current situation\. 2\. A Walk & Talk to break the ice\. 3\. A collaborating venue where you can further socialize with other members\. *** Whenever you attend a meetup, the most common as well as first question you get is: "Where are you from?" You probably heard this question a million times. Well, at least I did. From my own experience of attending over 200 international meetups in various countries such as Germany, Japan, Australia and Thailand, I can tell you that asking for the name is a better approach. “A person’s name is to that person, the sweetest, most important sound in any language.” - Dale Carnegie If you really want to connect with like-minded people you should remember their name, but you don't have to remember every persons name you've talked you. Be picky about that, don't be me who can somehow remember everyones name easily. Don't tell yourself sth. like "I'm bad at remembering names." It's all about developing the habit of asking for a name and keep the conversation going on. Furthermore, you want to learn German or any other language. Learning the local language is crucial to connect with the locals and developing a true friendship. This can be accomplished with immersion. My goal is to inspire you to go out of your comfort zone and improve yourself each time you join this meetup.

AIKIDO INTRO COURSE FOR LGBTQIA+-PEOPLE AND FRIENDS
AIKIDO INTRO COURSE FOR LGBTQIA+-PEOPLE AND FRIENDS
## AIKIDO INTRO COURSE FOR LGBTQIA+ PEOPLE AND FRIENDS Have you been curious about Aikido — and wanted to try it alongside other queer people? This four-hour course offers a first look at the fundamentals, with no prior experience required and no performance pressure. It’s designed for LGBTQIA+ people and their friends who want to try Aikido for the first time, or who have taken a few steps already and want to go deeper. ### WHAT THE COURSE COVERS ### Two training sessions of 90 minutes each. We start with functional movement and breathing exercises. From there, we get familiar with the mat: a range of rolling movements to help you move safely and fluidly. Gradually, you develop a sense of space, balance, and your own body. The basic steps of Aikido are introduced one at a time — Tai Sabaki, Tenkan, Irimi. The terms may sound unfamiliar, but the movements are natural. Everything you need, you’ll learn in the course. In partner exercises, we explore simple Aikido techniques together. The focus is on understanding the underlying principles: How do I use movement instead of force? How do I stay connected to the person across from me? ### TEA BREAK There’s time in between to catch your breath, rest, and talk with the instructors and other participants. ### SLOW PRACTICE MEANS FASTER LEARNING This isn’t about collecting as many techniques as possible. It’s about really feeling and understanding the movements — with patience and attention. ### YOUR TEACHERS: ### Niklas Brochhagen (he/no pronouns) and Juliane Winkler Juliane (she/her) and Niklas (he/no pronouns) are both queer and have practiced aikido for 20 years. They continue to find joy in the interplay of flexibility and steadfastness in aikido, which enables lively interaction and strengthens the feeling of connection within one’s own body.
Labor: Past, Present, and Future – Work, Power, and Purpose
Labor: Past, Present, and Future – Work, Power, and Purpose
**Labor: Past, Present, and Future – Work, Power, and Purpose** Labor is a defining force of human life. It shapes how we survive, how societies are organized, and how power and resources are distributed. Work can provide stability, dignity, and meaning—but it can also lead to inequality, exploitation, and exhaustion. More than just an individual experience, labor is a collective reality that reflects the structure of our world. At its foundation, labor is tied to survival. Like all living beings, humans must expend energy to sustain life. Our bodies and minds are wired for effort, cooperation, and problem-solving. Yet human labor goes far beyond biology—it is structured by economic systems, cultural values, and political decisions that determine who works, how, and for whose benefit. Across history, labor has continuously evolved—and so have the struggles surrounding it. Workers have organized to demand rights, protections, and fair wages, giving rise to unions, movements, and political parties. In many countries, labor movements shaped modern democracy, from the Social Democratic Party of Germany in Germany to the Labour Party in the UK, alongside similar movements across Europe and beyond. These efforts are remembered and celebrated globally on Labor Day. Labor is not only a human phenomenon. In the natural world, cooperation, division of roles, and collective effort are essential for survival—from insect colonies to social mammals. These systems offer a broader perspective on work as something deeply rooted in life itself, while also highlighting what makes human labor unique: its complexity, inequality, and capacity for change. In today’s world, labor is undergoing rapid transformation. Automation, digital platforms, and globalization are reshaping traditional employment. Stable careers are giving way to flexible—and sometimes precarious—forms of work. At the same time, the psychological experience of labor is becoming more visible: questions of burnout, motivation, identity, and purpose are central to how people relate to their work. Looking ahead, the future of labor may challenge long-held assumptions. Artificial intelligence and robotics could significantly reduce the need for human labor in many sectors, while increasing demand in others. This raises fundamental questions: What is the role of work in human life? How should wealth be distributed? And how do we define purpose in a world where labor is no longer central to survival? We will explore how labor has evolved through history—from early forms of work to modern economies—and how worker movements and political forces like the Social Democratic Party of Germany and the Labour Party shaped rights and social change. We’ll also reflect on labor as a biological, psychological, and social experience—how effort, motivation, and cooperation shape both humans and the natural world—and how work today is being transformed by technology, from gig economies to automation. Finally, we’ll look ahead to the future of labor, asking what happens if work changes fundamentally, and how we might rethink purpose, fairness, and the role of labor in our lives. Join us for a critical and engaging discussion on labor—not only as work, but as a force that shapes society, identity, and the future. Together, we’ll reflect on how labor defines our lives today and how it might be reimagined tomorrow. *** 📅 Event Details 🗓️ Date: Saturday, 18 April 2026 ⏰ Time: 14:30 📍 Location: Hardenbergstraße 10, 10623 Berlin 📱 WhatsApp: For prep materials and directions (Group Chat) [Group Chat](https://chat.whatsapp.com/Ba8ZAaH2Yuk6FGmD3LLO7H)
Silent Reading Club
Silent Reading Club
Ditch the old book club, where everyone has to read the same book...this is better! It works like this: Bring your own book. Come chat, have some tea or coffee, get to know your neighbors. Then we quietly read together, side by side, for about one hour, each one reading their own book, and afterwards we talk with each other about what we are reading. The usual agenda: - Arrival and introduction (~20 minutes) - Silent reading (~1 hour) - Discussion (~30-40 minutes) - Join us for a bite at a local restaurant afterwards, if you like! You may read in any language, you may read any book. We are a group of international residents of Berlin from many different countries, of all ages, and we converse in English. We welcome you! No registration needed – the event is donation based. All funds support the Offenes Wohnzimmer.

Portray & Be Portrayed: Cherry Blossom Edition! 🌸
Let's use the short window of opportunity and have a "Portray and Be Portrayed" session with beautiful cherry blossoms! 🌸 During this event, you'll experience both sides of the lens: being a photographer and a model. You'll work in small, autonomous groups of 3–4 people, rotating roles so there is only one active model at a time. ➔ **Please only join if you're comfortable being photographed by other participants!** During this event, we will be shooting in 2 locations: 1. [Kirschblütenallee am Mauerweg](https://maps.app.goo.gl/imozwcZLGW96c3zt5) (12:00-14:15) and 2. [Lilienthalpark](https://maps.app.goo.gl/fdJB2oDvn95wzphk9) (\~15:30- \~17:30. This month's prompt concerns the idea of the “warrior philosopher” (seemed appropriate in these times)--that is someone whose understanding of violence, power, and justice is forged through direct experience of war. We are looking at Major General Smedley D. Butler, a highly decorated U.S. Marine raised in a Quaker (pacifist) tradition who later became a prominent critic of American militarism (there is a wonderful biography of Gen. Butler called "Gangsters of Capitalism") Butler's argument in *War Is a Racket* (1935): that many U.S. interventions were driven less by national defense than by corporate and financial interests, with Butler portraying himself as an enforcer for business and Wall Street. We can consider the moral ambiguity of his insider critique—whether complicity strengthens or undermines credibility and also consider some of the concrete reforms he proposed (e.g., “conscript” capital before soldiers, restrict the military to coastal defense, and have only those who fight decide on war). Butler’s life arc clearly changed from pacifist upbringing to warrior to antiwar crusader—and asks whether true understanding of peace requires firsthand knowledge of war, and what that implies about the cost of suffering. So do we need to suffer to understand suffering? Do we have to experience war to appreciate peace? As one more question: in the movie "A Few Good Men" Jack Nicholson's character says that "you have the luxury of not knowing what I know" so do most of us go through life oblivious to real violence and suffering? See you at Drunken Philosophy!

The Story So Far: A WiA Reflection Circle
The Story So Far: A WiA Reflection Circle
A WiA Collective Wisdom Exchange At the start of this year, we gathered to look back, set intentions, and imagine the next chapter. This is the follow-up. Not a check-in. Not a progress report. A small, facilitated circle to reconnect with what you said mattered — and honestly explore what’s actually happening now. Together, we’ll explore: • What you intended at the start of this year - and what that looks like three months in • What’s surprised you, supported you, or shifted • What the next chapter needs now that you know what you know If you were at our January gathering, bring whatever you made or wrote — your word, your artifact, your intention. We’ll look at it with fresh eyes. If this is your first time, you belong here too. You’ll start where we all started: with what’s true right now. Optional art materials will be available for anyone who wants to reflect creatively alongside conversation. If you brought something home from January, you’re warmly invited to bring it back. The intention is the same as always: everyone leaves feeling more clear, more connected, and a little lighter. Space is intentionally limited to keep the experience intimate. What to Expect • A small, welcoming circle (not a large meetup) • Structured conversation so everyone has space to speak • Reflection, listening, and lived experience — not advice-giving • Optional creative reflection alongside conversation • A calm, supportive environment Who This Is For Women and underrepresented folks working in or around agile, product, technology, leadership, or organizational change — especially those looking for honest conversation and community beyond frameworks and buzzwords. Good to Know • No preparation required • If you attended in January, we invite you to bring anything you created or wrote (or something that represents your intention at the start of the year) - it’s optional but invited • Participation is invitational; listening is always welcome • Creative activities are optional
