Join us every other Sunday for the Open Clown Workshop at The Comedy Clubhouse Barcelona. Whether you’re an experienced clown wanting to exercise your clowning muscles or a complete beginner full of curiosity this workshop is for you. Sessions will usually focus on one particular aspect of clown for example: bafflement, befriending uncertainty, staying curious, freedom in failure, connecting with your pleasure, finding the game, eye contact with the audience. Our usual workshop teachers are experienced clowns who perform regularly in Barcelona and around the world. They have either trained with the legendary clown master Philipe Gaulier; performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival; organised their own cabaret shows; or have experience of developing clown numbers elsewhere. While every teacher has different strengths and exercises they’ll share, each workshop is designed to inspire you and help develop your skills as a comedic performer. This is a great place to meet new people, play games, have fun & learn new skills! The session lasts from 15.00 until 17:30 and it operates as a Pay What You Want workshop (suggested donation between 5 and 15 euros). It takes place at the Comedy Clubhouse on Via Laietana (be careful because there are two Comedy Clubhouses! It does not take place at the one on Carrer Canvis Nous!)

We'll spend the majority of our time on topic 1, acceptance. We'll go far beyond "yes and" to accept ourselves and our partners. We'll look at impulse, emotions & identiy. Time permitting, we will spend 60-90 minutes on improv in blackout. If the group prefer to keep to topic 1, or do more on improv in the dark, we'll shift - let's be flexible & have a great time! **Part 1 – I am not afraid to exist: Radical Acceptance** This workshop dives deep into the "radical act of acceptance," moving beyond basic mechanics to help performers embrace their own impulses and their partners' identities. Through exercises in presence and trust, you’ll discover how honoring boundaries and practicing self-acceptance creates a foundation for fearless, authentic, and sustainable play. **Part 2 – Improv in Blackout** In this hands-on workshop, participants perform in total darkness to build scenes and characters using only vocal expression, foley, and live music. **BCRG first Sunday of the month social ride** **What to Expect:** This is a monthly riding event that the organizers of BRCG created to socialize between the different groups and levels of the participants of this meetup. Every organizer shares the details of his ride below and you can attend signing up for the event and answering the name of the organizer you will go with. After the rides, around **1:30PM**, all groups will meet for drinks and food in Badalona port. **Is This Ride for Me?** Before to sign up for a ride check the details of the route, elevation, km and speed level expected. While this ride is open to everyone, we ask that you are comfortable riding in groups, have a **road bike**, and **have done rides of similar distance and elevation** before. No era el típico escultor de academia desde joven. De hecho, heredó el oficio de su padre: **era afinador de pianos**. Esta sensibilidad por la armonía y el sonido la trasladó más tarde a las formas. A los 50 años (en 1980), dio un giro radical a su vida: cerró su negocio y entró a estudiar Bellas Artes. Se instaló en su finca, llamada **"Casa Viva"**, en Dosrius, y durante más de 30 años se dedicó a "escuchar" al bosque. Dos pobles plens de turisme d’excessos, però units per un **camí de ronda que guarda racons i cales verges que encara sorprenen**, fins i tot als qui ja creiem conèixer la Costa Brava. A Blanes hi anirem en tren 🚂, i des d’allà ens endinsarem en **12 km amb 390 m de desnivell** per paisatges mariners que canvien a cada gir. Passarem per cales com Sant Francesc, Cala Treumal, Sa Cova i Sa Boadella, descobrint petits racons amagats que solen passar desapercebuts als ulls dels turistes. Aquesta època de l’any, amb la primavera despertant, el camí es vesteix de colors vius, amb pinars que perfumen l’aire i llum que ressalta tots els tons del Mediterrani. We’ll pass coves like **Sant Francesc, Cala Treumal, Sa Cova, and Sa Boadella, discovering small hidden corners** often missed by the typical tourist. At this time of year, with spring awakening, the path dresses in vibrant colors, pine forests scenting the air, and sunlight highlighting every shade of the Mediterranean. The Fellowship of the Star Schema: Transforming OLTP Data for Power BI One does not simply build reports on OLTP data. Join us on an epic journey from the depths of raw, normalized tables to the shining halls of a well-modeled star schema fit for Power BI greatness. We will demystify the differences between OLTP and OLAP, walk through star schema vs snowflake (and why Power BI has a clear favorite), and show you the compression differences between normalized and columnar storage that will make you never look at an OLTP model the same way again. We will cover the different types of dimensions, when to use them, and how to handle Slowly Changing Dimensions without losing your mind. You will leave knowing exactly how to identify a bad model, how to convert OLTP data into a clean star schema, and how to forge relationships that rule them all. Whether you are a data wizard, a curious hobbit, or somewhere in between, your models will never be the same.

The topic for April is "Water" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills.
