Join us for one of our final morning hikes of the season! The Ghadira Loop is a captivating journey through the natural beauty and historic fortifications of Northern Malta. We’ll explore a diverse landscape ranging from lush reserves to rugged cliffside paths with some of the most iconic views on the island. This is a beginner-friendly walk led by an experienced guide. We walk at a comfortable pace with plenty of time for historical context, photo stops, and soaking in the Mediterranean panoramas. ✨ What we’ll explore: • Foresta 2000 Reserve: A beautiful stretch of Mediterranean woodland. • The Red Tower (St. Agatha's Tower): An iconic fortification with 360-degree views of Malta, Gozo, and Comino. • Popeye Village Overlook: Stunning cliffside vistas overlooking the famous film set. • Secret Locations: We’ll venture to a few spots known only to locals. • Ghadira Bay: We finish at the sandiest beach in Malta. We'll hike 3.4 miles on the Killdeer and Yellowlegs Trails - both out and back gravel trails. If we want more mileage we can repeat an out and back. Pace of around 3.5 mph, no one left behind and those who want to go faster sure can! As always optional lunch after. This is the second Metro Park in the lineup for me - with 21 to go (plus more are being added).
