EVERY TUESDAY @ 6:30 PM at Dudley's Sport and Ale! We're a FREE club for all those interested in both running and socializing. The SRC meets every Tuesday at 6:30 PM at Dudley's Sport and Ale in the Shirlington Village, in the back corner towards the outdoor patio, near the Shirlington Animal Hospital. The SRC was founded in 2009 by VA residents Mirentxu Meyer and Shirley Santos, for like-minded people with social interests. Inspired by our founders, the goals of SRC are to promote fitness and build a sense of community. With currently over 2,800 people who've joined over the years, the SRC meets every Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM at Dudley's Sport and Ale to run a 5K summer route (6K in the winter), and hosts a post-run happy hour by savoring the flavors of Shirlington’s Dudley's Sport and Ale and socializing! In addition to fostering a community and family feel, SRC brings its members together throughout the year with other neighborhood events, sport activities, and volunteer opportunities. We welcome all levels of runners, from the beginners to the experienced marathoner, at all ages, and from all locations. What a better way to get a work out in and meet new people with like interests in the area! The SRC hopes to see you this Tuesday night, rain or shine! WEBINAR "Trust What You Can Trace: Making Agentic AI Explainable"
WEBINAR "Trust What You Can Trace: Making Agentic AI Explainable"
**Pre-registration is REQUIRED. RSVP here - [https://hubs.li/Q046VS--0](https://hubs.li/Q046VS--0)** **Speaker:** Michael Novack, Solutions Architect at AIceberg **Topic title:** "Trust What You Can Trace: Making Agentic AI Explainable, Secure, and Enterprise-Ready" As enterprises adopt increasingly powerful AI systems, one critical challenge remains: understanding how and why these systems make decisions. Many modern models - especially large language models - operate as opaque “black boxes,” making transparency, compliance, and trust difficult to achieve. *This webinar introduces the AI Explainability Scorecard, a practical framework for evaluating the transparency of AI systems based on criteria such as faithfulness, consistency, accessibility, and comprehensibility*. Attendees will learn how different model architectures - from K-Nearest Neighbors to neural networks and transformers - vary dramatically in explainability and risk. **The session will also explore real-world techniques for improving visibility into complex models, including surrogate monitoring approaches that map AI behavior to comparable examples.** These methods help organizations build observable, auditable AI systems without sacrificing performance or scalability. By the end of this session, attendees will understand how to move beyond black-box AI toward transparent, accountable, and secure AI deployment - a critical step for enterprises scaling agentic AI in high-stakes environments. You will learn: **\- Why Explainability Is the Foundation of Trustworthy AI** *Learn why transparency isn’t just a technical preference - it’s becoming a legal, ethical, and operational requirement for enterprise AI systems.* **\- The AI Explainability Scorecard Framework** *Understand the five key criteria - faithfulness, comprehensibility, consistency, accessibility, and optimization clarity - for evaluating how explainable an AI model truly is.* **\- How Different AI Models Compare in Transparency** *Discover why some models are inherently interpretable while others require advanced methods to understand their behavior.* **\- Practical Methods for Making Black\-Box AI Observable** *Explore modern techniques - including surrogate monitoring models - that help organizations understand and audit large language models at scale.* 🔗 Stay Connected * **Learn:** Free talks and trainings on the [Ai+ Training platform](https://aiplus.training/). * **Read:** The latest in AI research on the [ODSC Blog](https://opendatascience.com/). * **Chat:** Join the conversation in our [Slack Channel](https://www.google.com/search?q=https://odsc.com/slack). * **Community:** Review our [Code of Conduct](https://odsc.com/code-of-conduct/).

Fast-paced small sided soccer
Fast-paced small sided soccer
This game is located at the DC/Maryland Border in Silver Spring. We'll use the Tennis Courts across Juniper-Blair Park where there are Night Lights shining on an enclosed arena. This area is enjoyable because it allows for more touches on the ball, with more movement around the field. THIS IS ON A TENNIS COURT. WE DO NOT WEAR CLEATS. WE WEAR FUTSAL SHOES, TENNIS SHOES; ANYTHING WITH NO SPIKES. Pinnies and goals will be provided. Bring a ball if you have one. We usually get 10+ more players not on meetup — we'll add those to whatever we get here and see if we can have a game. More than competitive, we all want to play good futsal and make it fun and entertaining for all. No warm sided matches here — new and advanced players are welcomed. Here, we want to get active and have fun in the evenings after work

Run and Get Dirty! Adult Dogs in the main park, puppies in the small dog park
Our regular Sunday meetup at the Shirlington Dog Park -- members start arriving around 10:15 a.m. You'll always find an Aussie to play with. There are 3 entrances, so wander the park -- the dogs will find each other! For puppies, Shirlington has a small dog park within the larger dog park. It's the prefect place for your puppy to gain confidence and socialize with others. There is also plenty of room to run. Just a reminder, the Dog Park is under attack by the Arlington County Board of Commissioners. While early plans to decrease the size of the park by 50% has been tabled, it's important to remind Arlington County how important this park is to dogs and owners. Free In-Person Meeting: Get Over Losses & Betrayals, Build Lasting Relationships
Free In-Person Meeting: Get Over Losses & Betrayals, Build Lasting Relationships
This is a free, in-person meeting on the subject of betrayals, losses and how to get over them so you can build lasting relationships. Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse. Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well. Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe you’ve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship. Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action? Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships! Break free from self imposed limitations Here we will discuss: • How to “erase” the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isn’t always repeating past mistakes. • Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you? • Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it? • Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love? • Fights & arguments - what's really behind them? • What underlies “corrosive criticism” or the need to invalidate self or others? • How one can stably change one’s outlook on life so they can affect positive change? • Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them? • How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about? • How to enhance one’s own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or one’s career? Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general. Learn where painful experiences are “stored” and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can “erase” those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become “toxic” personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you won’t be tripped up trusting the wrong person. Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life. We look forward to having you join us! This class is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
