We will observe the "Hiwatari Festival" (Fire Walking Ceremony), an important annual event at Takaosan Yakuo-in Temple. This heroic ritual, where mountain ascetics walk across blazing fire to pray for warding off evil and granting wishes, is spectacular. Why not feel the sacred air of Mt. Takao and the intensity of Shugendo firsthand?
