JGD is geared toward folks living on the south-westerly side of the Great Urban Plain, but any and all are welcome.

The JGD venue is, as always, "Irish Pub Clann", about 30 seconds from Jiyugaoka Station. Clann is free for us to use as long as we buy food and drink (both of which are delicious and very reasonably priced).

Just like on previous game days, we'll have a single 4-hour-ish session with the slot scheduled from 5:30 pm to 10 pm (that’s a 4-hour session with 15 minutes for set-up and 15 minutes for game overflow). We’ll have 3 games running simultaneously.

Far to the southeast lies a region of stark mountains and dark forests, a wild, ancient land that the Church holds only the most tentative of claims upon. The Old Ways are still practiced in this gloomy land and hordes of heathens lurk in the lands on the far side of the mountains, and both of these forces threaten to plunge the region back into the firm grasp of Satan as far as the Holy See is concerned. Happily for the Church, a martial brotherhood of soldiers arose in these hinterlands, defending the steep mountain passes from heathen invaders and purging the deep arbors of witches, sorcerers, and blood-stained priests. This military body is known as the Order of the Knights Repentant.

Although the Church maintains the illusion that the Order of the Knights Repentant is a devout knightly order, the truth is less glorious. The Order is a pragmatic body, one more concerned with their daily survival than any lofty vows or codes of honor. Bloody and battered, the Order clings to their holdings by their fingertips, bolstering their ranks with anyone desperate or mad enough to join. This policy means more than a few of the Order are former outlaws or other ne’er-do-wells who sought sanctuary and anonymity in the dark mountains, earning their keep by slaughtering pagans for God. And despite the pretenses they root out black magic whenever found, the Order skirts the line between necessity and heresy on a daily basis.

Outnumbered and underequipped, the Order of the Knights Repentant uses any advantage available to them in their war against the heathens—including the confiscated magical tools of slain pagan priests and incinerated witches. Brothers of the Order claim these trophies from their fallen foes, an occurrence which has developed as an unofficial rite of passage in the Order’s ranks. So common is this plundering of defeated heretics that the local diocese faces the uncomfortable position of unofficially acknowledging that the Order of the Knights Repentant now owns more “Satanic” tools than the enemy! The local priests try to police this custom when possible, but the effectiveness of such magical objects in the war against the heathens cannot be denied, and a blind eye is largely turned to the practice.

Notes on System
Lamentations of the Flame Princess (LotFP) is an OSR (d20) system built for weird fantasy. It is dark and brutal. Death is on the table.
- Bring standard polyhedrals.

Taking inspiration from touchstones like Cowboy Bebop, Star Wars, and Dimension 20’s Starstruck Odyssey, Heist at Squengi’s is my hack of a science fantasy adventure originally written by MageHandPress.

In a galaxy where criminals run rampant and justice is crowd-sourced, you are all playing as Free Lancers, or “Flancers” who take on bounties and odd-jobs to make a lawless galaxy just law-lite. The job? Infiltrate the popular space-diner “Squengi’s” and take in the perp pretending to be Squengi himself!

We will be playing as level 2 characters. I will give more details later on!

Do you enjoy games where you work together for a common goal with a group of friends, exploring vibrant fantasy worlds, rescuing princesses and discovering fabulous treasures? Then why not try Dungeons and Dragons, now in its 52nd year?!

If you’d rather play a game where you plot to backstab, create tragic accidents for and frame your fellow players for unforgivable crimes whilst also explaining why the mission’s success was entirely down to you as you tireless fought against the machinations of Communist agents within your team then this game may be for you.

The Computer is your Friend
Paranoia is a legendary 1980s RPG set in a darkly humorous future ruled by a well-meaning but deranged computer. The Computer is happy. The Computer is insane. The Computer will help you become happy. This will drive you insane.

Until yesterday you were just another INFRARED Clearance worker, working a low-pay job for one of the Computer’s service firms. For a hundred credits a month you did light drudgework in a food vat, bot maintenance facility, reactor control room or clone tank.

The work was dull. Meals consisted of microwaved Hot Fun pouch meals, extruded ropes of Cold Fun and a bag of algae flakes, washed down with CoffeeLike, Teasir or the occasional Bouncy Bubble Beverage. You slept in a different bunk each night in the communal barracks, drifting along blissfully in a haze of free HappiTime medication.

Then you reported another INFRARED’s treasonous behaviour to your friend Computer. In recognition of your service, The Computer promoted you to RED clearance.

You play red clearance Troubleshooters. Being a Troubleshooter is fun. The Computer tells you so. Do you doubt the Computer, citizen?

Me and my Shadow Mark 4
The eager Troubleshooters are assigned to guard an experimental super-warbot, the Mark 4, against possible sabotage before its final test run. What could go wrong?
