【This is an "in-person" event! 】
Note: this time we’re meeting on a Saturday instead of our usual Sunday.

Writing is often a solitary activity. Connecting—and sometimes commiserating—with other writers can make a real difference. Join us for 1.5 hours of focused writing. We’ve found that writing alongside others is surprisingly effective and motivating.

Bring whatever you’d like to work on: a book, blog, essay, dissertation, script, résumé, poem, melody, or even general work tasks.
No one will read your work or give unsolicited feedback. This is simply dedicated time to write—together.

Please order at least one menu item. The café is known for its in-house cakes 🍰

I’m running behind—can I still join?

• Yes, arriving late is absolutely fine.
• Please settle in quietly and check in with the host after the writing session ends.
• If you arrive on time, please be open to making space for friendly latecomers.

Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.

OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens between 15:45-16:00.

Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.

BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session. If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.

There is the library space in the bookstore and find this event's organizer Saeko/Rie/Chiyo.

-Please thank the library by ordering iced tea or iced coffee.

It costs just 300 yen, Cash only. It is better to prepare the exact amount.

What Should I Bring?

Whatever you need to be able to write!

-Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the overhead sounds around us or the occasional conversation by other people.

-Bring any other things that make you comfortable.

-There is outlet and Free Wi-Fi. But pre-charged laptop is preferable.
