Mt. Hakome Hike：箱根山ハイキング

Mount Hakone (箱根山, Hakoneyama), with its highest peak Mount Kami (1,438 meters), is a complex volcano in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan that is truncated by two overlapping calderas, the largest of which is 10 × 11 km wide. (from Wikipedia)
Entry to Mt. Hakone was prohibited until last spring. If visibility is good, we can see Mt. Fuji from the top. After hiking, I'd like to go to an onsen* on the way back, but it's optional. This hike is of a moderate level in terms of distance, elevation gain, and walking speed. Please make sure that you participate in this hike at your own risk. In the case of rain or bad conditions, it may be canceled.

Odawara Station (小田原駅) 8:30 -(Bus)- 9:30 Kojiri BS(湖尻BS) - 10:00 Trailhead(登山口) — 12:00 Mt. Kamiyama(神山) -- 13:00 Mt. Komagatake(駒ヶ岳), lunch 13:30 -- 14:45 Trailhead(登山口) — 15:10 Kojiri BS(湖尻BS) 15:28 -(Bus)- 16:25 Odawara Station(小田原駅)

Walking distance : 11.4km
Elevation distance(up/down) : 952/952m
Walking time : Approx. 5.0hours
3. Meeting Time and Place
8:20am** at the ticket gate of Odawara Station on Odakyu Line(小田急線小田原駅改札)
**Our bus departs at 8:30am. Don't be late!!
4. Cloths and Belongings
hiking shoes, rain gear, gloves, hat/cap, headlamp/flashlight, sunglasses, sunblock, lunch/snack, 1.0L water, poles if you use them, map, first-aid kit, face towel and change of clothes for onsen, etc.
5. Participation Fee
_As part of Meetup.com subscription fee: 500yen in cash
_Bus fare: 1,350yen x 2 = 2,700yen (Suica/Pasmo or cash)
_Onsen fee(optinal): 2,000yen
6. Notes
_Anyone is welcome, regardless of age.
_Be sure to update your RSVP when changing your attendance.
_Do Not use bear bells, since it sounds like noise for some people.
_If this event is cancelled, it will be posted on the message board by noon the day before.
