Portland Psychedelic Society (PPS) is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating inclusive spaces for psychedelic education, integration, advocacy, and meaningful community connection.
Through our recurring PPS Community Nights at The Haven, special events, and broader community ecosystem, we aim to cultivate thoughtful, grounded, and accessible opportunities for learning, reflection, relationship-building, and personal growth. We believe community itself is an essential part of healing, belonging, and cultural transformation.

Important Registration Information
PPS primarily uses Meetup for community visibility, outreach, and event discovery.
Official PPS Community Nights and other PPS-produced events require registration through our Neon event platform. RSVP’ing on Meetup alone does not reserve a space for ticketed PPS events.
When applicable, please use the registration link provided within each event description to complete your registration and reserve your spot.
Most PPS events operate on a sliding-scale or donation-based model in an effort to keep programming accessible while sustaining the ongoing work of the organization.

BIPOC Integration Circle 🌱 Every Second Sunday 5:30-7PM (New Location)
The Marie Equi Center, 4434 SE 25th Ave., Portland, OR, USThis circle is a BIPOC only space ❤️ We are here to reflect, support one another, and integrate our personal experiences, particularly those related to psychedelics, spiritual growth, and transformation. This is a space for vulnerability, honesty, and healing. Let this be a space that we can come together with the shared intention of gaining greater understanding, clarity, and well-being.
Anyone who joins the Circle will be asked to hold a container of confidentiality as we collectively create a space for our community to come together, process, learn, and heal.
This is not a space to solicit or distribute substances. Please respect the delicate nature of these spaces and help us protect our ability to gather and honor the ground on which we gather.

About your host Austin Gillespie - Austin Gillespie (any/all), adopted from South Africa and raised in Utah, draws on his South Indian, European, and American heritage in his approach to healing and personal growth. After overcoming significant trauma and substance abuse, Austin found healing through earth medicines, including psilocybin and cannabis. These transformative experiences with psychedelics and therapy inspired them to pursue a degree in clinical psychology, where they are currently a senior researching autism and substance-use-disorder.
In addition to his studies, Austin led a nonprofit for four years, using dance as a therapeutic tool to support individuals on their recovery journey. After moving to Portland, he joined Portland Psychedelic Society’s BIPOC Integration Circle to connect with the community. His journey and professional work highlight his commitment to innovative and holistic mental health practices.About your host Emma Koko - Emma Koko (she/they), is an Aotearoa - New Zealand born with Māori (Ngāti Kahungunu) and Samoan (Leone, American Samoa) heritage. As a queer, fat woman navigating PMDD and menopause, she's experienced the transformative power of Earth medicines. By embracing the wisdom of the natural world, Emma has found solace and strength, highlighting the potential of Earth medicines for addressing complex health issues and their connection to systemic oppression. This summer, through the group Fat Girls Hiking, Emma lead and facilitated a beginners surf series for the plus-size community, empowering them to experience the joy and healing power of surfing. She fosters a supportive and inclusive environment for all, empowering individuals to embrace the healing power of the ocean. Emma's journey exemplifies the transformative potential of Earth medicines and the ocean's healing power, especially for marginalized communities.

Breath Work Guidance
PNW Integrative Center, 840 SE Washington St, Portland, OR, USJoin PPS for a monthly in-person breath work class @ PNW Integrative Center (Previously Seamsters).
Breath work is a self led psychedelic experience and powerful modality for healing, a great practice for grounding, and a fun activity to explore. My sessions contain a spectrum of disciplines, including elements of Wim Hof and Circular breathing. In breath work, we have a tool to renew and invigorate energies within ourselves and develop a calm and clear state of mind. Breath work can be used for both ‘in the moment’ activation, as well as an attribute to an ongoing healing process.
About your host -
Geoff Falkenberg is an intuitive breath work practitioner versed in several Eastern and Western breath work modalities. He has been experiencing, studying, and leading breath work as a means of somatic healing for over 5 years.Geoff values sharing the breath work experience and the healing that can be found in the practice. Our bodies have an inherent ability to heal, and through the simple act of structured breathing we can engage with, calm, and ground our nervous system, which can have a cascading effect in leading ourselves through both mental and physical healing.
What to Expect -
- Please do not eat a heavy meal within an hour before the session.
- Easy fitting clothing is best.
- Yoga matts and blankets are available, feel free to bring your own as well

COMMUNITY SALON
Every 3rd Wednesday
The Community Salon is an open, unstructured community gathering designed to foster relaxed connection, conversation, and belonging in a welcoming social atmosphere. Think of it as a psychedelic community “third space” with café-style hours where you can drop in, meet new people, reconnect with familiar faces, and stay as long as you’d like.
Bring a friend, settle in with a book or game, spark a conversation, or organically gather with others around shared interests and ideas. Unlike our more structured educational programming, the Community Salon emphasizes informal connection, recurring community culture, and the simple value of gathering together in shared space.
Doors open at 6pm and the space will remain open late into the evening. Feel free to arrive when you can and stay as long as you'd like.

Psychedelic Integration for People in Recovery
Taborspace, 5441 SE Belmont St, Portland, OR, USEvery Third Friday of the month at 5:15 pm
Taborspace Library RoomThis community gathering invites people in recovery who are interested in, or currently integrating psychedelics into their healing practice.
We will discuss how psychedelics impact addictive behaviors and risks of relapse. We will explore relationships with altered states of consciousness, sobriety vs moderation, various recovery models, and systemic pressures leading to overconsumption and addictive tendencies. The purpose of the gathering is to be in dialogue about these topics and how they impact our relationship to self, others, substances and altered states.
While we’re not requiring everyone be sober or abstinent from all substances, we do ask that everyone attending the meeting not be engaging with whatever substance that triggers the addictive behavior. Our intention for this monthly gathering is for everyone to have a confidential and safe space where people are able to self manage and discuss openly. This group offers support for people who already have an active healing process around their addiction and are looking for a community to share it with and get support from.
About the Moderators:
Julio Iñiguez is a person in long term recovery from addiction. He works as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice supporting individuals and people in relationships as they navigate life beyond addiction. He practices ketamine assisted psychotherapy at Sequoia Center in Portland where he focuses on sitting with folks in addiction recovery as they embark on the process of psychedelic assisted therapy.
Elizabeth Hoke is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and Oregon who has over a decade of personal and professional experience with addiction recovery. She is dedicated to helping people in need receive mental health services through Liberation Institute where therapy is provided for all on a sliding scale. Elizabeth also works with Dr. Rosonke at Rainfall Medicine, sitting with patients as they explore their relationship with addiction through the use of ketamine and psychotherapy.
