Open Acoustic Jam! All acoustic instruments, all levels welcome! Come pull up a chair and watch, play, sing, drink, whatever. Check out this *free* Meetup event, welcoming new and returning folks interested in the Omaha improv and comedy community! We're getting together at the Backline before the evening shows on Thursday, May 21 \~ Doors and bar will open at 5:45 PM. Then between 6 and 6:45 PM, we may play some fast and fun improv games - no pressure at all; it's all about having fun and meeting new people! Salsa On1 – Level 2 is for dancers who are comfortable with the basics and ready to level up their skills. In this class, you’ll build on your foundation with more dynamic turn patterns, smoother transitions, better timing, and stronger partner connection. We’ll also introduce styling, musicality, and techniques to help you dance more fluidly and confidently. You should already be familiar with basic steps, right turns, and simple partner work. Perfect for those who want to refine their technique, expand their moves, and feel more natural on the dance floor while continuing to have fun and connect with others.

Salsa On1 Level 1 is the perfect starting point if you’re new to salsa or want to build a strong foundation. In this class, you’ll learn the basics step by step, timing (dancing “on 1”), footwork, partner connection, and simple turn patterns. We focus on helping you feel comfortable with the music while building confidence on the dance floor. No partner or experience needed. Just bring your energy, have fun, and start moving with the rhythm. Great for beginners looking to learn, practice, and connect with others in a fun and welcoming environment.

There are NO reservations and we will NOT be all sitting at one big table. This night is a laid-back dinner event. One will go up to the counter to place their order and then will find a table that is vacant. The counter will give you a number and bring the food to you at the table. There are Bows & Platters, Soup and Salads, Swarma's, and Classic items to choose from. Lets try a different place to have dinner.

Open Practice is your time to dance, explore, and make the moves your own. This is not a class there’s no instruction, just music and space for you to practice what you’ve learned, try new things, and build confidence at your own pace. Come solo, with a partner, or with friends. It’s the perfect way to improve faster, get comfortable on the dance floor, and connect with the community in a relaxed, pressure-free environment. This is a class for the true beginner to dancing Salsa On2. NY Style Mambo (On2) is one of the more popular salsa styles all over the world and very easy to learn. We will be explaining the very important basic fundamentals to get you started on the dance floor. Fun and learning is guaranteed. No partner required.
