*EVENT DESCRIPTION
Tired of shallow language exchanges? Come join us for a casual and interactive event, where you complete simple missions in the Korean language while also getting to know Imun-dong. Everyone will be placed in a team with Korean and English learners (1:1 or 2:1), and you will walk around the neighborhood to complete missions like "Explain your favorite snack to your partner in Korean" or "Find a bilingual sign and explain it to each other." Instructions and game rules will be provided, and you will be in a team with English learners who speak Korean.
The event will be run in both Korean and English. You do NOT have to be a native English speaker to join, but must be fluent enough to converse in English. This Meetup Event is only for English speakers. If you are a Korean speaker looking to learn English, please message me separately.

- Introductions & Ground Rules (10-15 mins)
- Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt (45 mins)
- Share Out & Closing Out (20-30 mins)

*ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Juhee, and I am looking to foster a welcoming language learning environment for folks learning a new language! I'm bilingual in Korean and English, and I'm also learning Japanese and Mandarin. I teach English to Korean folks at Pastelling English ([@pastelling.eng](https://www.instagram.com/pastelling.eng/)) and take a critical, decolonial approach to my English education. I've been running these small group gatherings since 2025, and if you are looking to make genuine connections with local Korean folks, this is the place!
