Living in Korea long-term but unable to find authentic Korean relationships? Visiting Seoul short-term and want to experience the non-touristy Korea?
This group brings together residents & visitors from abroad with local Korean residents in Seoul. We aim to create a safe space to build authentic connections between individuals, especially across languages.

Dongdaemun Station Exit 8, Dongdaemun, Seoul, KRLabor Day is coming up! Join us for a unique experience through central Seoul, as we explore the untold history of workers that have built up this bustling city. We will be visiting important sites of resistance where workers have struggled for their rights.
We are learning English through a course in Pastelling English, and this history walk is part of our final class project. We are not professional guides, but we’d love to show you around as your local Korean friends!

Pastelling English is an English education platform based in Seoul that employs popular education methods and strives to take a critical, decolonial approach to English education.FEE

Tired of shallow conversations? Come join us for a casual but intimate gathering to converse with people and form genuine relationships. At these monthly "cafe chats," everyone is paired off and share genuine conversation for 30 minutes. Guiding questions are provided, but participants are encouraged to share their own thoughts and feelings.The event is run in English, but Pair Talks can be done in English or a mix of English & Korean. You do not have to be a fluent English speaker to join.

Hi, my name is Juhee, and I teach English to Korean folks at Pastelling English (@pastelling.eng). I employ popular education methods and take a critical, decolonial approach to my English education. I've been running these small group cafe chats since September 2025, and I wanted to open it up to English-speaking folks to join.
