We’re delighted to invite you to take part in an international walking event, organised by Thomas Heatherwick, the General Director of the 5th Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism (renowned architect behind Google’s Bay View Campus in the US). This year’s biennale explores the theme ‘Radically More Human’.

Under this theme, the director has selected eight projects, and we’re honoured that SeoulShare is part of the Walking Drawing project, led by Prof. Lee Moonju (Hongik University) & Sebastian Trujillo Torres (India).

This walking-drawing project is more than just a walk—it’s a collaborative creative journey, bringing together members of SeoulShare and Frame, a photography club from the Department of Architecture at Hongik University.

Throughout the project, participants will capture photographs that will be curated and transformed into a final collective piece, set to be exhibited at the 5th Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism.

The Final 6th session is scheduled for Thursday, 8th of May, from 14:00 to 20:00.

We’re looking for only 4 participants to join us in this unique walking-drawing experience at the 5th Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism alongside SeoulShare.

🎉 Event Overview:
Starting from the lively fashion hub of Dongdaemun, we make our way into the narrow alleyways of Changsin-dong, a neighbourhood known for its old sewing workshops and hillside homes.

As we climb up towards Naksan Park, we’re rewarded with panoramic views of Seoul and glimpses of the old city wall.

We then head down to Changsin Alley Market, a bustling local spot full of character and everyday life.

Our journey ends at Gongyu Changsin, a community space where local culture, creativity, and collaboration come together.

SeoulShare Language Share is for the ones who like to learn Korean and English from the absolute beginner level to more intermediate level.

We learn, we talk, we share our language, and help each other,
divided into groups of your level.
We have volunteer teachers who will help us.

Then get ready to groove and shine for an unforgettable Bollywood dance class that brings the vibrant energy of Indian cinema straight to Seoul. Whether you're a total beginner or a dancefloor regular, this class is all about having fun, letting loose, and learning some iconic Bollywood moves.
Expect a high-energy session filled with colourful beats, dramatic expressions, and addictive choreography inspired by your favourite Bollywood hits. Our experienced teacher Auntora (check out a video here) will break down each routine step-by-step, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm!

What is Bollywood Dance?
Bollywood dancing is a colourful, dynamic and highly theatrical dance style seen in Indian films. It combines classical forms of dance including traditional Indian and folk while also incorporating more contemporary western forms such as hip hop, jazz and funk. Having no set rules, Bollywood dancing is the perfect means to encourage freedom of expression.

The word ‘Bollywood’ is the name given to the Indian film industry, originally deriving from ‘Bombay’ (now ‘Mumbai’) and ‘Hollywood’. Mumbai is the home of the Hindi (Indian) film industry which produces more than 1,000 films a year, attracting a much larger audience than Hollywood!

With no set rules, fitness requirement or age restrictions, Bollywood dancing is the perfect way to enjoy freedom of expression and connection with others.

Meet your dance teacher!
Auntora Chowdhury is the founder and director of Ekta Creative Dance Studio, a South Asian dance company based in Sydney, Australia. She is an experienced dancer, singer, choreographer and teacher who is passionate about sharing her love of South Asian dance styles with the world. With over 20 years experience, she is currently based in Seoul for 3 months and will be running weekly dance classes with SeoulShare!

These classes are open to everyone, and there are no requirements for dance experience. If you love to move to music, learn something new and have a great time, then these classes are for you! Check out some of their work on their instagram page @ektacreativedance.
