Learn from and practice with Certified Instructor of Spring Forest Qigong Ann Minoff. Practice makes perfect, so after a few minutes of introduction, we'll jump right into the simple exercises from Spring Forest Qigong (SFQ) that can lead to dramatic changes and instant relief. Here's Ann's bio https://www.springforestqigong.com/component/mymaplocations/ann-minoff
Qigong is an ancient practice that dates back at least 4,000 years. It is considered a cornerstone of Chinese Medicine and includes gentle physical movements, visualization and meditation. Spring Forest Qigong (SFQ), a modernized form of qigong, was created by International Qigong Master Chunyi Lin with a focus on gaining the greatest benefit in the shortest amount of time. SFQ can start to improve all aspects of health; circulation, flexibility, strengthening immunity, emotional stability, mental clarity, stress reduction, pain relief all while providing an increased sense of happiness and vitality.
Master Lin believes that everyone is born a healer and can help themselves heal and help others heal as well. His vision is “A healer in every home and a world without pain and suffering.” Chunyi is the author of a #1 Amazon bestseller, Born A Healer. He is also coauthor with Dr. Nisha Manek of the Mayo Clinic of a chapter on Qigong in a medical school textbook, The Textbook of Complementary and Alternative Medicine, Second Edition.

Quite Write: Writing Night!
NOTE: This is an online event for the time being! Stay safe, everyone.
We start off chatting about our work, including setting goals for ourselves (which is entirely optional but super helpful!), and then we write. That's what it's all about. As simple as the idea is, it's amazing how much more you can get done simply by being in the presence of other writers at work. The baked goods don't hurt, either.
There is power for laptops, and some of us use pen and paper. Your choice! And, although we are not a discussion group, there are many areas where people can go if they want to talk without being disruptive.

VIRTUAL! Let's Write at the Venice Writers Block
Grab your writing utensil of choice, whatever you need for comfort, and your commitment to two hours of solid writing.
Note: Some people have had trouble logging in to Meetup to attend the event. It's more important to me to have you here than have an accurate count of who's coming – or reduce the odds of being zoom bombed – so if you can't figure out how to jump through Meetup's hoops then just...

Order of biz:
• 9:30-10: Introductions and socializing. We're a friendly group!
• 10-12: Two hours ACTUAL WRITING. Work on your own project or ask us for a prompt or three.
• 12-1: One hour read-back. Anyone who wants to gets five minutes to read from what they wrote. Please read only from what you wrote during the session. This avoids people comparing their first draft to someone's polished piece.
NOTE: This is NOT a critique session. Please limit your feedback to clapping after each person reads. It IS a chance to read your work out loud, which is good for you and good for the group. Reading is voluntary, so don't get stressed. But try it sometime. It will make your writing better.

Making art in Bukchon Hanok Village
**“What’s your dream house?”**
Marielle, one of our members, will kindly offer the venue for our art gathering. She is from the Netherlands and lives in Seoul for work. Surprisingly, she chose to live in a hanok. She said it was the best choice, rather than living in an apartment or residence. As I get older, I feel much more comfortable when I’m in a hanok. It doesn’t have to be a luxurious house. Because it has a small garden inside, every corner feels like a frame from nature. It is a way of living with nature that Koreans have developed over time. That’s why it feels so harmonious with Korean nature.
Merille’s hanok is located in Bukchon Hanok Village. Feel free to stroll around at your own pace and make art as you go. Let’s gather and share at her home. If you’d like to explore the house, it’s fine to arrive a little early. See you all at 4 PM at the latest.
**Attendance is limited, so please update your RSVP at least one day before the meetup and avoid no-shows.**
**Start: Up to you**
**Gather & Share: 4 PM**

Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington.
The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo.
Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine.
We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you.
The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly.
Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome.
The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit.
Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times.
Feel free to message me privately wth any questions and/ or concerns you may have.
Happy writing!
