We have reserved the light, roomy meeting room at Milwood for 4+ hours of Saturday gaming. Newbies welcome—we will be happy to teach you to play. We are a safe, friendly, inclusive, and diverse group. We’ll meet at 12:30 at the Milwood branch of the Austin Public Library, in northwest Austin, at 12500 Amherst Dr, off Parmer/MoPac. There's plenty of free parking, including four spots for EV charging at the west end of the lot. P.S. Please, no food at the game tables—so be sure to grab a bite before you arrive. Okay, folks, it's the **third Saturday** and we have reserved **more than four hours** **of board gaming**! So bring your friends and let's dig in. Your host has plenty of games (we'll always have Catan, but also everything from **A**zul to ... darn, I don't have a **Z** game, but how about **W**ingspan?). We play a wide variety of Euro-style board games, including anything new that's out there plus usual favorites. Bring your favorite game! Someone will most likely want to try it. Game Kastle has snacks and drinks, plus there is a Subway, Taco Bell, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Wing Street and Wanfu in the shopping center. Sorry, no alcohol allowed in the store. There are usually 10+ folks playing games, regardless of the number that sign up. If you show up after 1pm, you may have to wait.

Casual open play pickleball for all levels, including beginners. Equipment: You will need to purchase a paddle, or you can rent one from the front desk. We play with “outdoor” balls. Usually our group has some but it’s a good idea to bring them just in case. I highly recommend wearing a good quality court shoe and comfortable athletic wear. Cost is $12 per person ($10.80 for Apex members). Apex is an indoor facility with a pro shop and restaurant/bar on site. You do not need to be a member to play. Even if you've never played beach volleyball before, I can show you how you can start having more fun on a sand volleyball court. If you have played before, would you like to \* know where and how to stand while you're waiting for the ball? \* move through the sand more quickly? \* get to the ball in time more often? \* cushion the ball so it doesn't hurt even if it's hit hard at you? \* be able to aim the ball when you pass ("bump") it? \* know which player you should pass the ball to? \* "set" the ball so that your teammate can attack ("spike") it? \* get more of your serves over the net, in bounds, and with more power? \* learn how to approach a "set" ball so you have time to hit it? \* hit the ball with more control and power? We'll learn the keys to all of these skills and practice them so that they begin to feel more comfortable and familiar. If there's time and interest, we can do some exercises and/or play short games. \-\-\-\.\-\-\- \-\-\-\.\-\-\- \-\-\-\.\-\-\- \-\-\-\.\-\-\- \-\-\-\.\-\-\- \-\-\-\.\-\-\- \-\-\-\.\-\-\- \-\-\-\.\-\-\- I recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting sandy, sunglasses to help your vision in bright sun, and sandals/slides to avoid getting sand in your shoes. The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area. Parking can be challenging. There is a parking lot behind the neighboring Mexican restaurant that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.

Dodgeball is back again! If you’ve been wanting to come out, this is an easy one to join. We’ll be playing for about 1.5 to 2 hours, you do not need to bring any equipment, and no experience is needed. We use a specific set of rules and equipment to make the games run better and keep them fun for everybody, not just people who already know how to play. If it rains, the event will be canceled.
