Making Art in Hipjiro

Seoul is a city built up over a long time, layered with many kinds of history. Among its neighborhoods, Euljiro, known as “Hipjiro,” is a jewel of jewels: old buildings sit alongside the mountains that ring Seoul, Cheonggyecheon, and the enduring presence of Jongmyo Shrine and the palaces. Here, I’d love for you to tell a story using your own materials, drawing on long-held memories or your very first experience of this place. Bring whatever you feel most comfortable working with—pencil, crayon, ink, anything—and wander the streets, capturing the inner landscapes that come into view anew. We haven't set a starting time, because making art takes as long as it takes. We'll share our work at 3 PM at Cafe N:Tee(카페 느티). Get lost and explore this place with your own materials, however, I recommend starting at the Sewoon Sangga. Take the elevator to the 12th floor, and you’ll see a breathtaking view!
