A Hopeful Way To Address Climate Change

Description:
There is a positive way to address climate change that can reduce waste, noise, pollution, cost, health, safety, and enhance resiliency. We should want to reduce the effects of climate change even if climate change did not exist. In this talk, I will look at the energy and material use of “the average American middle class lifestyle”, and show how that usage can be markedly decreased with electrification of our homes and transport.

Bio:
Dr. Larry Gales has doctorate in computer science. Since retiring as a Research Associate Professor and Senior Programer at the University of Washington, he has developed a curriculum on climate change which he's taught at Seattle's Lifetime Learning Center for the past 5 years.
