상세정보

Winter is the season when we can observe the details of trees. Branches hidden beneath leaves in other seasons reveal their graceful lines under the sun. This is the only season we can capture their beauty with our own hands. I feel a little sorry to let winter slip away as it draws to a close.

Trees in old palaces are well preserved through the ages. I'd love to stroll through the paths of Changgyeonggung Palace in the morning, feeling tranquility and sketching what catches my eye. Our eyes are the most expansive lens—we capture hundreds, thousands of images every second. That's why drawing from real scenery is more powerful than working from photographs. Many artists venture outdoors to capture the beauty of nature directly, rather than relying on flat photographic images.

We'll gather at the Changgyeonggung Green House—arrive whenever you'd like. Built in 1909, it's the oldest Western-style greenhouse in Korea. You can feel the layers of time there and experience spring in the midst of winter. Start sketching when you arrive, and we'll gather to share our work at 3PM 🙂
