Anyone has recommendations for the Eastside?

 

I have a goldendoodle who looks totally beautiful when his hair is long but his inner coat also gets very matted and I don't have the bandwith to brush him everyday.

 

I currently go to PetSmart in Issaquah but I often have to have him shaved because they say he's too matted.

Hi there,

  Our goldendoodle doesn't have a necessarily tight coat however we have been very pleased with Looking Good Grooming in Ballard.  I have been taking my dogs there for years and she has always done a wonderful job, especially in the not "poofing up" category.

I have the same preferences; however, our labradoodle is a multi-generational doodle and is very "poodle curly".  Even though we brush her and take her to a groomer, her coat still ends up horribly matted and then we have to get her shaved to the skin :(   It takes two or three months for her to look normal again.  She is 20 months old and the coat changed when she was less than a year from wavy to curly.   I had no idea the coat would be so problematic. . . . .I take it that you don't have a problem with matting since you like the long and "loose" coat.  We live in University Place and use a groomer here, but I suppose that you are up North, so I heard the following groomer is good for labradoodles:

Hello all,
I am having touble finding a groomer who will wash and brush my doodle Brady, and leave him natural looking - long and loose!  They all want to trim and poof and shape him.  That is all well and good if that is what you like, but in our case, we prefer him au naturel.  Any recommendations on groomers?

If your puppy is too young for a romp at the park please consider our Get Along Little Doggie social event at Puppy Manners. We normally reserve this for enrolled students but we are so Doodle friendly, if you are a puppy, under the age of 20 weeks, please sign up and come on down!
