Description:
Moving to a new city like Amsterdam is often imagined as a fresh start — a chance for a better life, more opportunity, and a renewed sense of self. But once the excitement settles, many people quietly find themselves feeling something unexpected: disappointment, confusion, or the sense that life doesn’t feel as “good” as they thought it would.

This meetup creates a safe, reflective space to explore that gap between expectation and reality. We’ll talk about why this emotional response is so common among expats and international movers, and how to reconnect with a more grounded sense of meaning, gratitude, and acceptance in your current life.

This is not therapy and not a lecture.
It is a space for shared reflection, psychological insight, and human connection.

What We’ll Explore:
✅ Why moving abroad can feel emotionally different from what we expected
✅ The gap between idealized expectations and lived reality, and how to work with disappointment without self-judgment
✅ Practical ways to reconnect with gratitude, stability, and realistic goals

Arrive on Time!
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early so we can start on time and make the most of our shared space.

Why In-Person?
Conversations about expectation, identity, and life transitions benefit from shared presence and honest dialogue. Being together in the same space allows for reflection, perspective shifts, and the realization that many people experience similar emotional challenges after moving abroad.

About your host:
This event is hosted by Armandina Ramírez, psychologist and founder of www.nutrimind.life. She creates safe and reflective spaces for people navigating emotional challenges such as stress, adjustment, and identity shifts in modern urban life.

In a city full of possibilities, learning how to feel at home within your own reality is part of the journey.
