"Surrealism in Performance" with Anneke Godding ⭐️ 💥

“Reality leaves a lot to the imagination” - John Lennon.

“Surrealism in Performance” is a workshop by Dutch artist Anneke Godding in which we deep-dive into various methods for creating surrealistic theatre. Through sensory exploration we work with different substances and translate these impressions into physical expression, alongside writing texts, playing with time, engaging with symbols, and experimenting with imagery.

Together we create a visually striking organised chaos in which personal input is highly valued. Expect to spend plenty of time on the floor—exploring, shaping, and bringing the dreamworld to our daily life.

In this workshop, you will work alongside a director to explore what it looks like to truly use your senses to discover interactions and scenes. The workshop is not a traditional improv workshop and will be recommended for people who don't mind being directed and who are open to the idea of some surrealistic experiences!

Note: The workshop is for improvisers and/or actors who have completed atleast introductory courses.
