The Craftivist Playground. Creative Get-together with Sourdough Giveaway

Serial hobbyists of the world, unite! It’s time to dig up your forgotten crafts and half-finished projects from your graveyard of wishful thinking!

As Soup As Possible & ReteDonne Paesi Bassi invite you to spend an evening ‘in the zone’, finding inspiration and community with like-minded crafters, intersectional feminists, and aspiring hobbyists. Make time to create, share and connect with old and new friends in an open, judgement-free environment.

Not sure where to start? No worries! There will be some creative input and materials. And if your craft dream is bread baking, this is your lucky day!

🍞 Sourdough Starter Giveaway!
During the event, Angelica will be sharing As Soup As Possible's Elvira, 100-year-old sourdough starter from Napoli, Italy. She has been sharing starter and baking tips with aspiring home bakers since 2016 and will teach you all you need know to keep your starter alive and bake your easy first bread loaf. Success guaranteed!
🫙 Please let us know if you want sourdough starter when you RSVP, so Angelica can make sure to have enough for everyone.

What else will we be doing? Up to you, any craft is welcome! Drawing, sketching, illustration, painting, placard-making, collage, knitting, crochet, sewing, jewellery making, sculpture, creative writing, photography, origami, ...you name it! Bring your own project (related or not to a cause), materials, and ideas.

💡 What to expect:

• An opportunity to make new friends or finally meet fellow intersectional feminists from the ReteDonne network IRL
• A relaxing evening to dedicate to your artsy and crafty hobby in a cozy and friendly environment
• Learning from each other – make it as collaborative and interactive as you feel comfortable with. We encourage you to feel free to ask for advice and share your own knowledge
• Plenty of room to chitchat, focus on your own project, or simply unwind
• (Vegetarian) snacks and drinks (feel free to bring something to share)
• Some materials and creative suggestions.

📝What to bring:

• BYOC (Bring Your Own Craft): arts supplies (paper, scissors, glue stick, old magazines, etc) for your own project, and – if you like, to share with someone else. No worries if you can’t. Some basic materials will be provided.
• Please be mindful of the space and each other: don’t bring anything potentially dangerous or disruptive, be kind and respectful in giving and receiving suggestions, etc
• If your hobby is messy, please bring something to protect working surfaces
• Hobby books are also welcome
• A friend to share this experience with!
