Sketching in Pinetum Blijdenstein
📍 Hilversum Station, 11:00 → Pinetum → back by ~15:00
🚶♂️ Short walk (~20–30 min each way)
🎯 Main location: Pinetum Blijdenstein (€4 entry)
This time we’re keeping it shorter and focusing on one beautiful spot: the Pinetum — a small botanical garden dedicated to pine trees, full of interesting shapes, textures, and quiet corners to sketch.
We’ll meet at Hilversum Station at 11:00, walk together to the garden (arriving around 11:30), and spend about 2 hours sketching.
There are some benches, but not many — please bring a foldable chair if you’d like to sit while sketching (blankets won’t work here).
Around 13:30, we’ll head back toward the station. If people feel like it, we can grab coffee and maybe lunch at Mout before wrapping up around 15:00.
Bring:
Sketching materials
Water
Foldable chair
Comfortable clothes + an extra layer
No pressure on skill level — quick sketches, detailed studies, or just experimenting are all welcome.
Come for the trees, stay for the sketches 🌲✏️
Shut Up & Write!® Almere
Join us for some focused writing time. All writers and all experience levels are welcome and don’t worry, no one will see what you've written. This session is about getting your writing done and meeting other writers in your area.
When you show up, say hello to everyone, grab a drink, and get your writing tools ready. Once you’re all settled, take some time to chat with your fellow writers. Once everyone’s arrived, I will lead quick introductions and then set the timer for our quiet and focused writing session.
Afterward, we’ll have time to chat and get to know each other. We often talk about our successes and challenges as writers. If you don’t have time to stick around, no worries!
**A note about the format**

Heart of Compassion: Meditatie & Reflectie
*Since the event will be in Dutch, this description is too.*

Tea Ceremony "Bach in the Tea Hut"
Tea Ceremony "Bach in the Tea Hut"
(May - June 2026)
In April Japanese Tea House Naardermeer Tea Hut has opened the doors in Hilversum. The opening went very well, with many visitors coming to experience the space and the stories shared about architect Barry van Waveren and nature guide Saskia Vos.
In May and June, the Tea Hut will be open to the public every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. During these days, visitors are welcome to enter the Naardermeer Tea Hut. Haruka Matsuo will guide you through the space and share its background, materials, and story.
Haruka Matsuo invites you to a special tea gathering series, Bach in the Tea Hut, held at the Naardermeer Tea Hut at Meentwerf. As the Tea Hut is small, the number of guests is limited. Book your seat on the website [https://www.japansetheepot.nl/blank/tea-ceremony-bach-in-the-tea-hut-31-may-2026](https://www.japansetheepot.nl/blank/tea-ceremony-bach-in-the-tea-hut-31-may-2026)
Together with cellist Gé Bartman, we will share an afternoon of Bach’s cello music and the quiet practice of Ōbaku Baisa-Ryū sencha tea ceremony. In the soft light of early summer, tea, sound and silence come together in a small and intimate setting.
Rather than matcha, in this ceremony will be served loose-leaf sencha tea in the tradition of Ōbaku Baisa-Ryū. As the tea slowly changes in flavour through each infusion, the music also gently fills the space. The goal is to create a moment where you can slow down, breathe deeply and simply be present.
Dates (the time is always from 13:30–15:00 o'clock)
- Sunday 31 May
- Saturday 6 June
- Friday 12 June
- Saturday 20 June
- Saturday 27 June
Duration: 70–90 minutes
Price: €32
Location: Meentwerf, Mierenmeent 122, 1218 EM Hilversum
Haruka Matsuo will welcome you there and guide the ceremony
With warm regards

The sun is finally out! For our May workshop, we are stepping out of the studio and into the open air of Amsterdam's beautiful **Gaasperpark**.

* **Nature as a Partner:** Letting the wind, trees, and earth inspire our movement.
* **Collective Play:** Childlike, spontaneous physical theatre games under the open sky.
* **Grounding & Presence:** Tuning into our senses to shake off the daily hustle.

☁️ **About Cloud Causality (当下剧场)** Cloud Causality is an international platform for physical theatre and cultural exchange. Our work is rooted in two core philosophies:
* **The Danish Folk High School Tradition:** Inspired by the spirit of the *“School for Life”*—prioritizing experiential learning, non-competitive play, and human connection over pressure and performance.
* **Mime Corporel (Corporal Mime):** Developed by Étienne Decroux, this practice forms our foundation—using expressive movement to make the invisible currents of life visible and poetic.
📅 **Practical Info**
* **Date:** Sunday, May 31, 2026
* **Time:** 13:00 – 16:00
* **Location:** Gaasperpark, Amsterdam
