We're going to do yoga outdoors a few times a months in different locations throughout the summer.
Spots are intentionally limited to keep the experience intimate and personal;)
**About your guide**
Hi, I’m **Ana** **[@mirr_ana](https://www.instagram.com/mirr_ana/?hl=ru)**. I’m a certified yoga and meditation teacher based in London, currently teaching in studios and also sharing community sessions in nature.
My journey started very early. I grew up in a spiritual family and met my first meditation teacher when I was three. Since then, movement, breath, and inner practice have always been a natural part of my life.
Before teaching yoga, I trained as a professional ballet dancer, which gave me a deep love for the body, expression, and the emotional language of movement.
Over the years, I’ve explored yoga, meditation, Taoist and Slavic practices, and Buddhist philosophy, and I’m currently continuing my studies at the Asian Classics Institute.
Everything I share today is simple, grounded, and very human, focused on helping you slow down, reconnect with your body, and feel more at home within yourself🤍
Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt | Girlies Who Read ✨
Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt is a bestselling debut novel about a lonely widow, Tova Sullivan, who works as a night cleaner at an aquarium and forms an unlikely friendship with Marcellus, a highly intelligent giant Pacific octopus. The story follows their bond as Marcellus, using his observational skills, helps Tova unravel the mystery of her son's disappearance decades earlier, while also connecting her with a young man searching for his father, exploring themes of loneliness, family, and second chances.

Thames Foreshore Visit - Rotherhithe! (Full Members only)
Running through the heart of London; the River Thames has played a central role in the history of the city, and when the tide is low, the capital’s longest archaeological site is revealed.
Come along on Sunday 7th June to explore London’s dynamic history...
**About the foreshore**
I will be your guide as we will be going down to the Thames foreshore at low tide, where we will have about 1h 30mins to have a look around for objects before the tide comes in.
I will tell you more about foreshore, the industry in the area and will be on hand to identify and date objects you find. Most objects you can spot sitting on the foreshore after being washed in on the tide (we are not allowed to dig or scrape the foreshore surface).
You will find everything from bits of pottery, clay pipes, bottles, animal bones to ship items. Most of the things we find are from the Medieval to the Victorian period or you might be lucky and find something Roman or older. The foreshore at Rotherhithe was where lots of ships were dismantled, so you will see lots of ships nails, ships timbers and items related to the people carrying out the dismantling.
The foreshore is very stony, so please wear sensible shoes (preferably walking boots/shoes or wellington boots). Plastic gloves and bags will be provided.
**Cost**
This is for Full Members of the group only and will be free.

June Meeting 1 - Wordslut (Amanda Montell)
We start June by reading Amanda Montell's 2019 effort, *Wordslut: A Feminist Guide to Taking Back the English Language*. Our first non-fiction of 2026 is a 'brash, enlightening, and wildly entertaining work of pop linguistics and a feminist look at gendered language and the way it shapes us.' (Book jacket)
'[Montell], reporter and feminist linguist, deconstructs language—from insults, cursing, gossip, and catcalling to grammar and pronunciation patterns—to reveal the ways it has been used for centuries to keep women and other marginalized genders from power.'
-Waterstones

In the eternal hope of good weather in London in the spring/summer, we will have the meeting in Haz St Paul's lovely outdoor area. So come along for some great atmosphere, delicious Turkish food, and insightful discussion.
N.B. We will be charging an event fee of £3, non-refundable, to discourage no-shows and contribute to the running costs of the group. Please only sign up if you intend to come along as space is limited to make for an effective discussion!
Cashflow For Kids
\*\*\* Event needs a minimum of three children to host the game \*\*\*
\*\*\* We are looking for another parent to host the game moving forward! Is that you? \*\*\*
\*\*\* Pls fill in our contact form so that we can contact you directly if there are any important changes to this event in the future: [https://form.typeform.com/to/IGVdeYWs](https://form.typeform.com/to/IGVdeYWs) \*\*\*
Hey there! Come join us for a super fun afternoon playing "Cashflow for Kids," made by Robert Kiyosaki! It's a cool game where you learn about money, business, and investing, and you get to play with other kids and parents who are interested in the same thing.
This game is for everyone who wants to learn how to be smart with money, especially when it comes to starting businesses and making investments.
We want to help kids learn how to make their money work for them, even when they're young. Just imagine if you never had to worry about finding a job because you knew how to create extra and passive income wisely!
During the game, you'll have a blast learning some really cool stuff about running businesses and making money work for you. Plus, you'll pick up some amazing tips to help you make money without working all the time. It's like a secret recipe for financial freedom!
If you're under 12, make sure to bring an adult along to help you with the game.
Here are some important details:
* **Event:** Cashflow for Kids
* **Cost:** Just £5 if you pay online, or £10 if you pay at the game. That's per scorecard; parents do not need a scorecard unless their child wants to play independently.
* **Organisers:** Joanna, Jonathan, Andrew, and Tony
\*\*\* There is a golden period each child has: between 16 and 25, where your child is still living at home. During this period, he or she has a wonderful opportunity to create a real income greater than their monthly expense needs! This allows him or her to achieve the power of income safety! Once your child sees this for themselves, please encourage them to **join us at Taking Action events! [https://www.meetup.com/takingaction/events/](https://www.meetup.com/takingaction/events/) \*\*\***
**FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions):**
* **Q:** Can I play if I'm younger than 6?
* **A:** This game is best for kids 6 and older. Grown-ups can join in too for an easy introduction to money matters.
* **Q:** What skills do I need to play?
* **A:** You just need to be able to add and subtract tens and hundreds, and be able to focus for about 30 minutes or more.
* **Q:** Why are the ticket prices cheaper if I pay online?
* **A:** We like to reward people who plan ahead and pay online. It helps us get everything ready for the game day!
* **Q:** Can I buy a ticket when I get there?
* **A:** Yep, you can, but it'll cost a bit more than if you pay online. Door tickets are £10 for this event.
* **Q:** I don't have PayPal. Can I still pay online?
* **A:** Absolutely! You can use a debit or credit card through PayPal's payment option.
* **Q:** Can I share something cool with everyone?
* **A:** Sure! If what you want to share will help everyone learn more or have more fun, we'd love to hear about it!
Just a heads up: We like to take pictures and videos during the event to capture all the fun. If you don't want your face in the pictures, just let us know, and we'll make sure to blur it out!
\*\*\* Pls fill in our contact form so that we can contact you directly if there are any important changes to this event in the future: [https://form.typeform.com/to/IGVdeYWs](https://form.typeform.com/to/IGVdeYWs) \*\*\*
M is for.... Marilyn: A Portrait @ National Portrait Gallery
*“It's all make-believe, isn't it?”* (Marilyn Monroe)
Join us at **Marilyn Monroe: A Portrait at the National Portrait Gallery** to explore the life, career and legacy of Marilyn Monroe through portraits created by some of the greatest photographers and artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Bringing together works by Andy Warhol, Pauline Boty, Marlene Dumas, James Gill, Rosalyn Drexler and Audrey Flack, alongside over 20 era-defining photographers, including Cecil Beaton, Philippe Halsman, Bernard of Hollywood, Sam Shaw, Richard Avedon and George Barris, the exhibition will foreground Monroe’s collaborative approach to image making and her creative agency.
The exhibition will also include personal belongings such as books, scripts and clothes to enrich understanding of the woman behind the image.
From the earliest ‘cheesecake’ pin-ups made when she was a young model named Norma-Jeane, to the most poignant final photographs taken on the beach in Santa Monica in 1962, Marilyn Monroe was one of the most photographed people in the world. A defining presence in popular culture, she captivated audiences with performances in much loved films such as *Some Like it Hot*.

Bermondsey Beer Mile | ADHD Social | London | Everyone Welcome
**Brews and Lose... Track of Time!** Bermondsey Beer Mile. Relaxed pace. Visit craft brewery tap rooms in ancient industrial London. It really is a lovely walk, lots of Victorian buildings, murals, art, etc.
As with all our events, you **do not** need an ADHD diagnosis. Come as you are, meet nice, quirky people.
We will attempt to visit several of the taprooms in a loosely sequential order. I strongly recommend having thirds or halves of a pint! Some of us will succeed.
To keep you in sustenance, there will be assorted food places along the route.
We start at [The Kernal Taproom,](https://share.google/c3sPrvF5jXxSsbwGJ) and finish up around London Bridge where... who knows what may happen next,
**What will definitely happen:**
- At least one person will show up to the wrong place
- Someone will spend forty minutes reading the entire tap list and order a basic bitch Fosters/Carling
- A conversation will begin, go completely off-piste, and never return to the original point
- Someone will announce they're leaving and still be there an hour later
- We will collectively lose track of time, money, and the thread of at least six conversations
**What will probably not happen:**
- Not everyone arriving on time
- Leaving when we said we would
- Remembering what the plan was
- But we will try.
**Directions:**
Meet at [The Kernal taproom ](https://share.google/c3sPrvF5jXxSsbwGJ) preferably at 12, before the rush.
