Wat we doen
Writing is often a solitary, sober activity. Wait, what? Why? Join us weekly to drink and write and turn your creative adventure into a night out.
Inspired by the iconic Hemingway quote, "Write drunk, edit sober," this is a fun, casual writing group where you can have drinks while writing. Feel free to work on your own projects or use the inspiration sheets we provide. We have 20 minute writing sprints with breaks in between for hanging out, chatting, and ordering more drinks. You can keep repeating until you finish your novel or until we tell you, "You don't have to go home, but you can't keep asking us for more writing prompts."
Writing Under the Influence AMS is an offshoot of the notorious Brooklyn group of the same name. We meet every Tuesday at the bar Vice Versa in De Pijp from 19:00 to 21:30. It’s a place to boost your imagination, make friends with cool people, and get those words flowing.
