⭐ TALKS
▪ How to start a VC-backed startup (Jacek Migdał @Quesma) - Almost all of today's big technology companies were financed by Venture Capital. It is a proven framework, though frequently misunderstood. In this talk I would explore career possibility of founding your own VC-backed startup. It is common in world, but less explored option in Poland. Will provide actionable steps based on my experience.

⚡️ LIGHTNING TALKS
▪ 7 years of talking to people (Jakub Daliga @StrongDM) - Turns out, an engineering career is less about writing code and more about talking to people. And what better occasion to boost your career than an informal meeting about your area of expertise? Due to popular demand in the last feedback form, Jakub will talk about his ups and downs as a (not necessarily) public speaker. Spoiler: it's more important to give a talk than to do it well 😉
▪ Clean APIs with Huma Rocks! (Lukasz Gut @Grafana Labs) - APIs are eating the world. In this quick lightning talk, I'm gonna talk about the way I structure my server code and who a cool framework at the same time!

🚀 SPEAKERS
▪ Jacek Migdał - Jacek started a career as an engineering intern at NVIDIA CUDA and Facebook. He joined pre-revenue startup Sumo Logic as ~20 Sumo Logic in the San Francisco Bay Area. He moved back to Poland and opened an office with 80+ full-time engineers. We optimized gross margins on AWS and launched two products.
He left when Sumo Logic was valued at around $300mln ARR and taken private by Francisco Partners for $1.7 billion.
Currently, Jacek co-founded the startup Quesma - a database gateway.
▪ Jakub Daliga - I started programming in Go because that's the internship I've got in 2016. Being the lucky early adopter I had many opportunities to work with great people for great organizations. Some of which I have even capitalized on.
I love teaching people about things I'm passionate about. I recently got into cooking.
▪ Lukasz Gut - I started my professional journey as an intern in Sperasoft where I worked on the Mortal Kombat franchise. Most of my work was game-engine related. Later, I moved to Aptiv, where I worked on a standalone data visualization platform and data fusion algorithms for autonomous driving. Think in the area of occupancy grid and probabilistic theories. My most recent work experience was with TikTok and Grafana Labs, where I develop apps and distributed systems.
