O nas
Exploring art, heritage and ideas — for curious, sociable 40–60-somethings.
Welcome to Interesting & Interested – Chichester, a friendly group for anyone who enjoys exploring art, culture, heritage, and ideas — and doing it in good company.
Do you ever spot an exhibition, talk or performance you’d love to see, but would rather not go solo? Or have slightly different interests to your partner or friends? Then come and be interesting and interested with us — a small, friendly group of curious people who enjoy exploring culture, heritage and ideas together.
What we do:
🎭 Cultural evenings – gallery visits, theatre nights, films and talks.
🏛 Heritage outings – stately homes, artists’ houses, historic places across Sussex.
🌿 Culture and the natural world – heritage gardens and events linking design, craft and sustainability.
☕ Sociable get-togethers with a twist – each event includes time for a bit of a chat!
Typical rhythm: one weeknight local event + one weekend afternoon outing per month.
We value curiosity, kindness and respect. Numbers stay small (up to around 12 people) so it’s easy to chat and connect.

Join us for a relaxed and inspiring morning exploring Chichester Open Studios, one of the highlights of the local cultural calendar. We’ll start with coffee or a late breakfast at Robin's Nest Cafe at 10:00 am, giving us time to say hello and ease into the day. From around 10:30 am, we’ll set off on foot to explore a selection of nearby studios taking part in the Open Studios Art Trail, where artists open their working spaces to visitors. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet artists in person, see where and how they work, and discover a wide range of creative practices — from painting and ceramics to textiles, jewellery and more.
Rather than following a fixed plan, we’ll keep things flexible and decide together on the morning which studios to visit, focusing on those within easy walking distance and whatever sparks our curiosity.
This is a gently paced, sociable outing — a mix of art, conversation, and exploration, with the freedom to dip in and out as we go.Good to know
