LFDT webinar with DSR: Hiero - ACA-Py Plugin for the Hedera Ledger

Join us for a webinar with DSR, a member of LF Decentralized Trust, on Hiero: an ACA-Py plugin for the Hedera ledger. Until recently, ACA-Py primarily relied on Hyperledger Indy as its verifiable data registry (VDR) for AnonCreds, but in 2025, Hedera emerged as a stable, enterprise-ready alternative. This session will introduce the LFDT Hiero project and demonstrate how the plugin enables credential issuance and verification using Hedera as a VDR within ACA-Py. We'll also explore the benefits of Hedera’s support for diverse credentials and protocols, making it easier to build SSI systems beyond the Indy ecosystem. The session is especially relevant for teams exploring alternatives to Indy or considering Hedera for identity use cases.
