Our studios are light and airy, with a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced painter, come and paint with us in a friendly environment! We have a wonderful community of artists who join us each week.

Course Description:
Students will bring photographs of landscapes (or other scenes) and can choose whether they wish to draw or paint. Each student will be taught individually. Tuition will be provided for watercolour, acrylic, and oils, and for various drawing methods including pencil, charcoal or pastel. We will explore composition, tone, and colour and work on how to create emphasis and atmosphere. This class would suit all levels. Some basic drawing materials will be provided but painters and pastel artists must bring their own materials.

Course Description:
A program designed to introduce students to the rich variety of methods and skills needed to create drawings. Together we explore the building blocks of good drawing coupled with tactics to improve observation skills. Following the examples of great artists of history and established drawing conventions we will create exciting, satisfying drawings in the studio. The course is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience.

Course Description:
Working in clay, you will learn fundamental measurement techniques combined with sight size comparison techniques. This is a great opportunity to discover, or return to, making a 3-dimensional portrait working from life. You will first work on a number of quick ‘sketches’ in clay from a life model and be shown different ways of looking at the figure in a 3D form. You will then work with the model on a longer pose, be introduced to basic measurements and proportions, learning how to use relevant tools for modelling as well as practising and improving your observational skills.
