You asked, we listened. So many Awkward to Awesome members requested a beginner-friendly money class, and we’re finally making financial literacy a little less intimidating and a lot more approachable.

In this session, we’re learning the basics of financial literacy in a practical, approachable way. This topic is being brought to us by one of our Awkward to Awesome members who is a financial educator, and we’ll be covering some of the foundational pieces that can help you feel more informed and less intimidated by your finances.

• How to start making more confident financial decisions

In this session of The Awesomely Awkward Social Club, we’re talking about what actually makes us feel secure, steady, and satisfied in real life.

Not just money. Not just income. Not just the number in your bank account.

Because a lot of us were taught to think of “rich” as something very specific: a certain salary, a certain lifestyle, a certain kind of success, a certain amount of stuff. But when you really stop and think about it, feeling secure often comes from much more than money.

It can come from having people you can count on.
It can come from knowing you can handle hard things.
It can come from rest, freedom, health, community, skills, time, choices, stability, or simply not feeling like you are constantly bracing for the next problem.

Tonight is about getting curious about what “wealth,” “security,” and “enough” actually mean to you.
