Waters Edge pub quiz

The next in our series of trying out pub quizzes in the city... The Waters Edge is a Hungry Horse pub right by the canal just west of Castle Marina. It starts at 7pm and is £1 per person to join. It has its own car park (use PayByPhone or notify staff) and the Castle Marina Retail Park is nearby. Public transport access is not great but the Skylink does stop nearby at Alderney St. Or you could take a leisurely walk along the canal from town!

The pub also has a Facebook page with some coverage of recent quizzes.

See you there at 6:30 to find our table. If you haven't had a meal beforehand they serve food until 9.

Social Suppers are intended to be relaxed evenings centred around shared food and gentle conversation.

Each supper explores a different cuisine, keeping things interesting while staying simple and comforting.

The focus is on affordable, well-cooked dishes, long tables, and an atmosphere where everyone feels at ease.

A chance to slow down, enjoy a good meal, and connect with others in a warm, delightful setting.

Food and Home Fair at Contemporary

Our Food & Home Fair will showcase over 40 stalls across the weekend 17-19 Apr, with a celebratory launch evening on Fri 17 Apr. This fair looks to celebrate and showcase artisan food and drink specialists as well as a variety of independent makers and designers working across homeware: ceramics, glassware, candles, textiles, floristry, soaps and more.

We’ll be meeting at Nottingham Contemporary from 6:30pm, waiting for around 10 minutes before heading inside to explore the Food & House craft fair and markets together. After having a look around, we’ll go for a drink downstairs at the Contemporary bar. Please note that phone signal can be unreliable inside the building, so if you can’t find us at the meeting point or arrive slightly late, we’ll be downstairs in the bar.
