**“What’s your dream house?”** Marielle, one of our members, will kindly offer the venue for our art gathering. She is from the Netherlands and lives in Seoul for work. Surprisingly, she chose to live in a hanok. She said it was the best choice, rather than living in an apartment or residence. As I get older, I feel much more comfortable when I’m in a hanok. It doesn’t have to be a luxurious house. Because it has a small garden inside, every corner feels like a frame from nature. It is a way of living with nature that Koreans have developed over time. That’s why it feels so harmonious with Korean nature. Merille’s hanok is located in Bukchon Hanok Village. Feel free to stroll around at your own pace and make art as you go. Let’s gather and share at her home. If you’d like to explore the house, it’s fine to arrive a little early. Code Names is the game of choice for the next few meetings. We open at 6:30 so that newcomers can have time for a tutorial; the first game starts promptly at 7 pm. It ends when the group agrees—typically around 9—there’s no definite end time. If you log-in late, you can always cheer the players on and still be able to play in the second game of the night. This is a virtual meeting but this doesn't mean the beer has to be virtual - so be sure to sip a nice ale (or whatever you enjoy) as you participate.
