Let's meet in Louçainha for a cold swim and a snack afterward. What is this place, though? Well, there is a beautiful 40-meter-long pool filled with water flowing from nearby mountains. It's a classic place for local winter swimmers. I've been swimming there pretty much every week since November. The water temperature went as low as 8 degrees. That, without training, feels brutal. With training, spiritual :o Now is spring, though the water is still cold (around 15 degrees). Join me this Saturday for the swim.

This program is less competitive, no champions crowned, no league standings just dedicated tennis partners who want to meet up with you on the courts. Community Backyards Workshop Join us at the Ohio Herb Center in Gahanna to learn about sustainable home gardening. We can make small changes in our yards to make a BIG impact for a better environment and healthier waterways while saving money. This workshop is presented by Friends of Alum Creek and hosted by Ohio Herb Center. By attending, any participating community resident can receive a voucher for a rain barrel, compost bin, or native plants for attending. Vouchers are limited to one per household per year. We'll get in around 4 miles at Three Creeks Metro Parks, primarily natural trails. 17-18 minute miles, no one left behind, and faster walkers are free to lead out. Optional lunch after! If you're joining for hiking all the metro parks, this is the sixth one!
