The climate emergency requires more than facts alone. The transformation we need must be measured in greenhouse gas emissions averted and solar panels installed, but it is also an emotional transition, a shift in the narratives we tell, a reconnection with old wisdom and so much more. In short, it is perfectly suited for fiction. If you are seeking such guidance, and if you want to be part of a community, we would love to have you join the Cli-Fi Club this month. This month we are reading 'The Water Knife' by Paulo Bacigalupi, an American novelist who has won the Hugo and Nebula awards and was a finalist for the National Book Award. 'The Water Knife' is frequently included on lists of top cli-fi, but I have yet to read it. Excited to read and discuss with all of you. This event is free, but please get your copy from the wonderful English bookstore that hosts our book club meetings, Backstory.
