Offener Deutschunterricht - Text & Konversation - Niveau B2+ (Fortgeschritten)
Offener Deutschunterricht - Text & Konversation - Niveau B2+ (Fortgeschritten)
“Do We Really Understand What We’re Building?” - Hands-on Example Mapping
“Do We Really Understand What We’re Building?” - Hands-on Example Mapping
*This event is a collaboration with our friends from Domain Driven Design Berlin, check out their Meetup page [here](https://www.meetup.com/de-DE/domain-driven-design-berlin/) and sign up there!* \-\-\-\-\- **About the evening** Back in August, we explored how Design Thinking can help us uncover and validate the right problems. But even when we agree on what to build, things often go wrong, not because of bad solutions, but because we don’t fully understand what the problem actually means in practice. In this session, we’ll build on that idea and focus on the next step: turning vague ideas into something concrete, shared, and testable. Using Example Mapping - a lightweight technique from Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) - we’ll work in small groups to: * Break down a feature into rules, examples, and questions * Surface hidden assumptions and edge cases * Align on what the behaviour of a system should actually look like If the previous session was about finding the right problem, this one is about understanding it well enough to build it right. This is a hands-on workshop. Be prepared to participate fully and add to the energy of the room. Looking forward to seeing you there! **RSVPS:** **Please sing up on the event page from [Domain Driven Design Berlin](https://www.meetup.com/de-DE/domain-driven-design-berlin/)!** \-\-\-\-\-\- **Code of Conduct** We adhere to the [Berlin Code of Conduct](https://berlincodeofconduct.org/) to ensure a welcoming and respectful environment for all participants. The event space operates under largely compatible [Thoughtworks Meetups & Events CoC](https://www.thoughtworks.com/en-de/about-us/events/code-of-conduct-germany). **Accessibility** The Location is accessible for wheelchair users. This includes the entrance (no steps to get into the location), toilets and the stage.

The Table Topics Master presents a series of short, unprepared speaking challenges or questions, and members or guests are invited to come to the podium and give a brief, improvised response. **Evaluations:** Following the prepared speeches and Table Topics segment, evaluators provide constructive feedback to speakers. These evaluations focus on content, delivery, body language, and time management. The goal is to help speakers improve their speaking skills. **Reports and Functionary Roles:** The meeting may include various functionary roles, such as the Timer, Grammarian, Ah-Counter, and others, who report on their observations and contributions to the session. These roles help members improve their language and time management skills. **General Evaluator:** The General Evaluator provides an overall assessment of the meeting, highlighting what went well and offering suggestions for improvement. They may also evaluate the evaluators' performance. **Awards and Recognitions:** Toastmasters sessions often conclude with awards and recognitions, including the Best Speaker, Best Evaluator, and Best Table Topics Speaker. These awards encourage members to strive for excellence in their speaking and leadership abilities. **Closing:** The meeting concludes with closing remarks from the Toastmaster of the Day, who may express gratitude to participants and encourage them to continue their Toastmasters journey. **Networking and Socialising:** After the formal meeting, members and guests often have the opportunity to network, socialise, and discuss their experiences in a more relaxed setting. Then join this gravel ride from Prenzlauer Berg to Schönower Heide! 😊** This ride isn’t about pushing your limits, but about enjoying the outdoors together and connecting with others. A basic level of fitness and confidence on your bike is required – but no matter what kind of gravel bike (or other off-road capable bike) you ride, you’re welcome. 😉 We’ll keep a steady but relaxed pace (about 20 km/h) and value a friendly, respectful group atmosphere. ☺️ **📍 Meeting point:** U Eberswalder Straße, corner of Topsstraße ([Google Maps](https://maps.app.goo.gl/v1TWzNAUD4YyokvT7)) 🕚 **Departure: 11:00** (please arrive at least five minutes early) 🗺️ **Route:** About 40 km on mostly unpaved paths – passing lakes, forests, and open fields, all the way to Schönower Heide. If you like, you can join for another \~10 km back into the city on mostly paved roads. Alternatively, you can easily take the S-Bahn from Buch. You’ll find the route map here on the event page [and on Komoot](https://www.komoot.com/tour/2844752978). 🎒 **Please bring:** Water, snacks, and basic repair tools ☀️ **Weather:** In case of heavy rain, the ride may be cancelled on short notice. Data & Analytics Wednesday - The Data-Driven Brand
Data & Analytics Wednesday - The Data-Driven Brand
**The Data-Driven Brand: Using Analytics to Shape Perception** Can you use analytics to improve tacos? This being CBUSDAW, we think the answer is probably “yes”, but we’re not sure how to implement or test this theory. For our April meetup we’ve got Sara Kear, CMO of Condado Tacos, to investigate this delicious question. Sara will explore how she blends quantitative data and qualitative customer feedback to shape brand positioning and drive business decisions. We all know that marketing and analytics go way beyond attribution. Sara will show how Condado uses customer insights to inform product and pricing strategy. She’ll also highlight how Condado leverages customer feedback at scale to influence operational priorities, positioning marketing as the voice of the customer across the organization. In the last 12 years Condado has gone from one location in Columbus to 52 locations across 10 states, so we’re guessing there’s more to that growth than really good guac (though the guac probably helps). Ultimately, this talk focuses on the intersection of art and science—using data to inform creativity and build a brand that resonates with customers in a measurable way. **About Our Speaker** Sara Kear is Chief Marketing Officer at Condado Tacos, where she oversees brand, restaurant design, menu and pricing strategy, off-premise including catering, and customer data strategy. Since joining in 2021, she has helped grow the brand from 19 to 52 locations while building a data-driven marketing organization focused on loyalty and customer insights. Condado has since been named to the Inc. 5000, recognized as Breakout Retailer by Chain Store Age, and consistently ranked among FastCasual’s Top 100 Movers & Shakers.
