Hi Everyone, The next **Street Hypnosis/Mentalism Group** will be on **Saturday 18th April 1-5pm** As usual, it will be at **The Festival Hall (in the Southbank Centre)** which is less than 10 minutes walk from Waterloo Station. We are located in the Seventy5th Bar on the fifth floor. We will be at the far end - look out for the notice on the table, or call me 07742 542101. You can come along at any time. Many of you have previously attended various courses on hypnosis or specifically street hypnosis. This is a great opportunity to actually practice these skills - whether they are rapid or shock inductions or Mentalism type stuff. We may go out some point and involve members of the public. I am happy to lead on this. Part of the art is knowing who to approach (or not) and what to actually do when you get there. This group is also open to people who are generally interested in this aspect of hypnosis or Mentalism generally - think Derren Brown type effects. We can give you advice and hopefully, point you in the right direction re courses etc if you want to learn some of this stuff. Learn something, share something. Practice in safety and gain confidence. We cover all aspects of street, stage and party hypnosis. Have an idea of the suggestibility tests or something else you want to practice, as well as some Rapid Inductions. Also, think of a short 5 -10 minute 'routine' to use with people. All levels are welcome so don't be shy. We ask for a small fee of £5 on the day, this is purely to help pay our meetup fees. For those who prefer a shorter walk can make use of the train/tube station along the walk too! The entire walk will be along the Tamesis witnessing the remains of by gone era, from the glazed architecture of 21st century to half-timbering Tudor, cozy warehouse dwellings once symbolised the colonial trade, spot that set off the pilgrims to the so called free world, beaches of Bermondsey to creeks of Deptford, Rotherhithe tunnel to Tower bridge - Engineering marvels that challenges the time, and many more to spot on the day as we explore together! Things that I usually consider for my walks: Food and drink to get through the walk. Water: Aleast two litres. Day rucksack: That is comfortable to wear and allows free arm movements. Walking Boots: waterproof and breathable. trainers are OK if the ground is dry. Gaiters: recommended for wet weather conditions. Socks: proper walking socks to keep your feet dry and help prevent blisters. Layered clothing: helps to quickly adapt to changes in the weather and body temperature. A base layer (vest or t-shirt) and a mid layer (a micro fleece or shirt) and in cooler weather additional outer layer (a windproof jacket or thick fleece) Trousers: Ideally no jeans as they become heavy and cold in the rain, breathable fabrics are more comfortable and dry and on warm days shorts are OK. Waterproof jacket: An essential in wet weather. Hat or cap: stay warm in winter and shaded in summer Sunglasses: Essential for any summer walk Sun cream: when the weather dictates. Dodgeball is back again! If you’ve been wanting to come out, this is an easy one to join. We’ll be playing for about 1.5 to 2 hours, you do not need to bring any equipment, and no experience is needed. We use a specific set of rules and equipment to make the games run better and keep them fun for everybody, not just people who already know how to play. If it rains, the event will be canceled.
