Bealtaine Festival (12-15km)
Detalhes
Hello Friends!
Jörg suggested going to the "Bealtaine Festival" this weekend.
This implies a high probability that there will be food.
UPDATE: Ticket needed if you want to go to the festival! Online Ticket Sale
Do you remember the Celtic village we passed by during our "Plane Spotting" hike a while ago?
This time we're starting in a village with the beautiful name of "Schrassig", not far from Oetrange train station.
We will get close to Sandweiler and the airport, and after about 9km, we will take our lunch break at one of the famous plane-spotting sites.
Make sure to leave some room for whatever food we will find at the festival!
Do you remember the long and steep asphalt road from Münsbach up to Neuhäusgen? We will skip that!
And do you remember the steep descent where we crossed the road first, and then the river where the bridge was missing?
We will go up there!
After 12km, we will arrive at the Celtic village and spend some time at the festival. Back to Schrassig is just 3 more kilometers and only downhill.
Depending on the weather, mood, and individual curiosity about alternative paths, we might do a shortcut or even a little extension, we might get lost completely and call the extraction helicopter (kidding).
Bring enough water, it's going to be hot!
Meeting Point:
We will meet at the Bus stop "Bastenhaff" in Schrassig and turn the village into a parking lot.
