Sobre nós
Meet other local hiking enthusiasts as a group of friends exploring, learning, and having fun on the trail and occasionally other ways. Besides hiking we sometimes do: snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, camping, biking, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, etc.
We range all over CT, central to western MA, and sometimes southern NY. Occasionally we make trips further out typically to central and northern NY, VT, NH, and ME.

Hike Boyd Woods + Laurel Ridge daffodils, Litchfield
Boyd Woods Audubon, Rt 254, Litchfield, CT, USOverview
4-mile hike for all levels at Boyd Woods Audubon Sanctuary, then a quick drive down the road to see the daffodils at Laurel Ridge in Litchfield.Hike Description
We'll hike at a mild pace through this beautiful 100+ acre sanctuary featuring hardwood forests, flat open fields, a conifer plantation, water features, and an early successional forest. I plan about 4-miles and 400 feet elevation, so the hike is fine for beginners who are in reasonable shape and with good balance. We won't be running and will be stopping to check out the lovely features of this property. After the Hike
For those wanting to see a truly beautiful spectacle, after the hike we can do a quick drive to spend a moment over at Laurel Ridge, where thousands of daffodils are now in bloom. It is truly a magical site. What to Bring
Wear hiking shoes or boots appropriate for roots and rocks and wet trails. Poles are helpful if you like using them. Bring water, a high calorie snack, hat, sunscreen, layers, and a backpack to carry it all.
A cellphone with backup battery is always wise. A paper map is always a good thing to have just in case.Information and map of Boyd Woods here: https://lhasct.org/boyd-woods-sanctuary/
