Mon Songkran at Prapradeang

It is a great Songkran festival. Organized by the cooperation of Thai people of Mon descent. Each year, Phra Pradaeng Songkran begins on the first Sunday after April 13, formerly known as Phra Pradaeng Songkran or Songkran Pak Lat. In the event, there is a Miss Songkran parade. Traditional games of the Mon people such as pouring water over the Buddha image and asking for blessings for elders releasing birds and fish, and having fun splashing water. The Miss Songkran parade will have beautiful women dressed in Thai or Raman (Mon) costumes marching in a line.
