This Sarurdat we are going to Prapradeang or Mon city. We are expecting to visit;
- Wat Paritwat Ratchasongkram or David Becham temple one of the unique temples in Bangkok. It is famous for its golden image of the former football player David Becham as well as images of popular cultural icons.
- Wat Songtham is a Buddhist temple in Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province, Central Thailand. Wat Song Tham is a second class royal temple. This temple was built by Mon people in the year 1814. The Mon is reflected in the Raman Chedi. The temple buildings are made of bricks and cement. The roof of the temple is decorated with teak wood. There are footprints of Buddha images inside the temple.
- Pu Choa samingprai fort, the name of the fort comes from Grandfather Chao Saming Phrai , a sacred object that the Mon people respect and worship . It has been with Grandfather Chao Saming Phrai for a long time. No one knows the exact history. There is no recorded evidence.
Pu Chao Saming Phrai Fort was built during the reign of King Rama II in 1814, together with Fort Pisat Sing, Fort Rahu Chon, and five other western forts: Fort Plaeng Faifa, Fort Maha Sanghan, Fort Sattruphinat, Fort Chakkrod, and Fort Phra Chan Phra Athit [3].
The incident of building Fort Pu Chao Saming Phrai was because King Rama I wanted to improve the coastal city to be strong and stable to withstand the enemy's army.
The price for the walk 350 Baht for guide fee and all kind of transportation (bus, ferry ). We also have a lunch at Michelin restaurant by the river.
And ... as with every other previous walk, we would like to ask to PLEASE leave home on time. When that should be, depends on where you live, but unless you live nearby, we suggest leaving AT LEAST an hour beforehand. To give you an idea, the ride from BTS Siam to the meeting point station takes about 20 minutes. We will always wait for about 5-10 minutes, but after that the group has to leave.Over 95% of our visitors are early or on time, so with your help, we can keep this going :)
