Hey Guys, Let’s hike Calaveras Mountain, a inactive volcano! Yes, about 15 million years ago, it was a volcano and we are planning to hike up it. We will meet in Oak Riparian Park off lake blvd.
You can park in the park or on Ridge Road and walk over to the park. This hike is moderate but only you know your limitations. After, we can get some food and drinks in a nearby restaurant.

TIMING:
We will meet and greet at 9:15am Riparian Park)
We start promptly at 9:30am (plan your trip, arrive on time)
HIKE DETAILS:
Hiking Distance: about 5.5-6miles
Elevation gain: ~700'
Difficulty: Moderate
Parking: Oak Riparian Park or on Ridge Road
WHAT TO BRING:
Water (I take 3 liters; I sweat a lot & I prepare for the worst)
Snack (an apple, an orange, electrolyte replenisher)
Sturdy Hiking Shoes (ensure the soles have tread)
Sunscreen
Hiking poles (Optional)
Bug Spray
