We are very pleased and delighted to welcome Karma Lhatrul Dorji Rinpoche back to the Bangkok Shambhala Center! This evening, Rinpoche will teach on Green Tara, and guide us in a meditation practice on the Green Tara sadhana. All are welcome to join.
Green Tara (aka Khadiravani) is an important figure in Buddhism. She is known as the "mother of liberation", and represents the virtues of success in work and achievements. Green Tārā protects from all the unfortunate circumstances one can encounter within the samsaric world. Green Tara is usually associated with protection from fear and the following eight obscurations: 1) pride, 2) delusion/ignorance, 3) hatred and anger, 4) jealousy, 5) wrong views, 6) greed, 7) attachment, and 8) evil spirits/ demons, delusions & doubts.
Karma Lhatrul Dorji Rinpoche is a Lama in the lineage of Kunzang Dechen Lingpa, who was recognized as a living Tulku (reincarnate Lama) at the age of three, and spent the next 20 years in the monasteries of Assam and Arunachel Pradesh, India, training at the highest levels of the Tibetan Buddhist system. Now, as a yogi (Ngakpa) living in the world, he seeks to make these powerful and beneficial esoteric teachings accessible to a modern Western audience.
This is a drop-in class. No previous attendance, or registration, is required. The suggested donation is 500 - 1000 Baht. The Bangkok Shambhala Center remains open because of the ongoing generosity of our members and program participants. Thanks in advance for your support and participation.
