September 24 every year is Mahidol day. Therefore Siriraj medical museum is open for free of charge. So it is good to visitBangkok has heaps of ghostly places and areas with scary stories, and the ones we are visiting featured some of the most horrific and bloody scenes in its history. Some genuinely chilling stuff, not for the weak of stomach. This walk we will explore the places as follow;
1. The old prison a former maximum security prison built during Rama 5 after a study of the prisons in Singapore.
2. Wat Saket and Golden mount where the dead boddies were cremated during the worst epidemic in Rama 2 reign.
3. October 14 monument was erected for commerating and paying tribute to the heroes in the political events.
4. Thammasat University where the people and students were masacred in Thai polital history occur.
5. Siriraj Museum (Optional) or the Museum of Death
Finally we will finish at Wang Lung market where you can shopping and get some bites.
The ticket for this walk will be 300 THB. This pays for your tour guide. The entrance tickets to some temples are not included in the ticket price. The ferry and possible other transport are also not included (though shouldn't be much).
We meet at 8.45and should be finished around 12.45 Please make an effort to be on time, so the others in the group do not need to wait. If you live in central Bangkok, leave home about an hour before. If you live elsewhere, you should probably leave earlier (unless you know your way around).
